Neal Bledsoe is a Canadian-American actor and author born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on the 26th day of March 1981 but was raised in Seattle, Washington. If you are wondering if the actor is in any way related to Drew Bledsoe, the retired New England Patriots quarterback in the National Football League, yes, he is his second cousin.
Growing up, Neal moved a lot in and around Seattle. He lived at various times in places like Queen Anne, Magnolia, Ballard, Ravenna, Edmonds, Downtown, West Seattle, and Fremont. He began schooling in Roosevelt High School, continued in Garfield High School, passed through the CEDU system of schools and finished off at Shawnigan Lake School.
Afterward, he proceeded to Idyllwild Arts Academy where he spent one year to learn more about acting and writing. At the completion of his studies at the art academy, Neal Bledsoe furthered his education in arts at the North Carolina School of the Arts under the tutelage of the versed theatre director, Gerald Freedman. He rounded off his studies in the year 2005 and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.

Following his graduation, Neal Bledsoe had a quick start in his acting career. His first professional acting credit came in 2 episodes of the television series Guiding Light (2005), as the character Quinn just less than a month after he left school. In this same year, Neal played the character of Noah in The Ridge. Other film works which he starred in include Revolutionary Road (2008), Winked Out and Under New Management both in 2009, Sex and the City 2 (2010), The Walken Dead, Highrise, and A Kiss for Jed all in 2011.
He continued expanding his acting portfolio playing various characters in Junction (2012), You There? (2013), Grand Street and West End both in 2014, Primary (2015), After the Sun Fell (2016), and Police State (2017) where he starred alongside Sean Young, Seth Gilliam, and others. Bledsoe also played the character of Frank in Soldier’s Heart (2019).
On television, he has been a lot more successful and busier here with roles in projects like CSI: NY (2007) in the episode “…Comes Around,” Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2008) in episode: “Please Note We Are No Longer Accepting Letters of Recommendation from Henry Kissinger.” Neal Bledsoe recorded his acting breakthrough on Gossip Girl (2009), where he played the character of Josh Elis in episode: “Enough About Eve” and also followed it up with another spectacular portrayal of the character Tyler Meade-Hartley in 7 episodes of Ugly Betty which ran from 2009 to 2010.
After this, he scored more acting roles in television series like Body of Proof (2011), Episode: “Society Hill,” Smash (2012) where he acted in 7 episodes as John Goodwin. Next came The Mysteries of Laura (2015-2016) as Tony Abbott in 11 episodes, The Man in the High Castle as Captain Connolly in 4 episodes alongside Carsten Norgaard, Rick Worthy, , Hiro Kanagawa, and others.
Neal was also seen on Timeless (2016) as Robert Todd Lincoln, Coming Home for Christmas as Robert Marley and The Last Tycoon as Axel both in 2017. More recently, the Canadian-American actor acted in Chiefs as Enrizio and Max Whitford in Shameless (2018).
