There is an increasingly long delegation of celebrities who were brought into the limelight by signing a deal with a popular network. In the case of American actress Bianca Kajlich, she was already relatively known. However, her affiliation with CBS in 2007, made her star burn that much brighter.

Bianca Kajlich’s Bio and Early Life

Kajlich was born in the city of Seattle in Washington on March 26, 1977. The actress attended high school in the city of her birth, at a school called Bishop Blanchet High School. She furthered her education at Washington State University located in Pullman.

Bianca did not start acting right away. Prior to her professional acting career, she had a period where she was a ballet dancer out in Edmonds, Washington, with the Olympic Ballet Theatre. The actress may have done ballet for seven years but her heart was increasingly gravitating towards acting. For a significant part of her time as a ballerina, she also worked on her acting by taking roles in some smaller movies.

Her first try at acting came in the form of an advert with Kragen Auto Parts. After this, she successfully played lead roles in several movies such as Swan Lake, The River and The Nutcracker. As her repertoire grew, she finally ditched dancing and delved fully into the movie industry.

Her post-dancing career has seen her enjoy roles in numerous movies. Halloween: Ressurection, 30 Minutes or Less, Bring It On, Dark was the Night, and 10 Things I Hate About You are a few examples of the movies she has been in since 1999. Bianca has also appeared in recurring roles in different television series like Sorority, Boston Public, where she played Lisa Grier. She was also in Dawson’s Creek as Natasha Kelly, UPN’s Rock Me Baby as Beth Cox and 20th Century Fox’s Vanished as Quinn Keeler.

Kajlich’s one-episode appearances include shows like 2007’s Psych in the episode titled Psy vs. Psy. In the episode, she portrayed the role of a psychic FBI agent. Other TV shows in this category include Fox’s Fastlane, as Bree; Freaks and Geeks, as a girl with piercings and a punk hairstyle; and HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm as Paula.

However, in 2007, Kajlich really burst onto the scene with her most successful role to date with CBS’s sitcom Rules of Engagement. She plays the main character Jennifer Morgan, the unusually accommodating and manipulative live-in fiancée of Adam Rhodes (played by Oliver Hudson). The show aired on CBS from February 5, 2007, to May 20, 2013. However, it continued to show on some affiliate networks until it eventually stopped airing in 2016. The sitcom ended at seven seasons and 100 episodes.

Moving on from her Rules of Engagement Days, the actress also played a major role as Leslie Burton in the NBC sitcom Undateable. The show started airing on May 29, 2014. It ran for 36 episodes in three seasons, effectively ending on January 29, 2016.

Bianca has more going for her besides her talent. The stunning actress has landed multiple times on Maxim’s Hot 100 women Lists. In 2004, she ranked No.74 on the list and climbed to No. 63 in its 2007 edition.

Bianca’s Parents, Brother, and Sister

The Rules of Engagement actress is of mixed descent. She was born to a Slovakian father, Aurel Jan Kajlich and an Italian mother, Patti (née Campana) Kajlich. She has two younger siblings, a boy, and a girl, named André Kajlich and Anya Kajlich respectively.

Much isn’t known about her sister who from her twitter handle, maybe a veterinary doctor. Her brother, André, was on his way back from a party with some of his friends in 2003, when he got hit by a subway train. He survived but had to have both his legs amputated, one at the hip and the other above the knee. His story is an inspiration; he went on to become a USA professional paratriathlete.

During an with CBS, the actress revealed that her brother’s story inspired her to start a drama club in a camp for amputee kids in Ohio.

Bianca has been married twice. The first time was with the USA soccer player Landon Donovan. He is considered in many circles as the greatest soccer player the country has ever produced. The couple tied the knot on December 31, 2006. The marriage did not last long, however. They separated in 2009 and filed for divorce on December 23, 2010. The couple were together for three years but had no children.

Two years later, on December 16, 2012, Bianca, again, went to the altar with Michael Catherwood. Michael is an American radio personality, who is usually affectionately referred to as “Psycho Mike”.

The couple has one child, a daughter, Magnolia Catherwood, whom they welcomed into the world sometime in April 2014.
