Alden Ehrenreich is an iconic American actor of Jewish descent. He started acting in his teens when he was spotted by Steven Speilberg while making a funny video of little importance. Impressed by Alden, Steven got in contact with him and soon hooked him up with an agency. The actor made his film debut when he appeared on Tetro in 2009. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000 – 2015)
CSI is one of the long-running series and the longest Alden Ehrenreich has ever been on. The series began on October 6, 2000, and ended on September 27, 2015, with a total of 337 episodes from 15 seasons. This crime investigation series was not only hugely successful attracting a huge audience but was also largely controversial because of its contents. At a point, it was ranked among the worst primetime shows by the Parents Television Council. Hail, Ceaser! (2016)
Hail, Ceaser is another comedy classic that featured Alden Ehrenreich and brought together a lot of talented Hollywood stars including George Clooney, Channing Tatum, and Tilda Swinton. The movie is based on Eddie Mannix, who tries to uncover the mysteries of the disappearance of a biblical epic cast during its filming.

Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
This 2018 Star Wars prequel was Alden Ehrenreich’s first big lead role. This sequel was written by Jonathan Kasdan and Lawrence Kasdan and directed by Ron Howard. It brought to the screen stars like Game of Thrones and popularly known as Childish Gambino. Other cast include Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo and Paul Bettany.
Solo speaks of the life of Holo San before the events of A New Hope (1977). Tetro (2009)
An American-Argentine film written and directed by Francis Ford Coppola, this Alden Ehrenreich’s movie was shot in Spain and Patagonia. Tetro is a story of brotherly love centered on Bennie (Alden Ehrenreich) who travels to see his elder brother who was once a writer but meets a shadow of his brother’s past – a tormented and self-destructive soul. Bennie tries to help his brother back on his feet by completing one of his plays and submitting it for consideration for a prestigious literary prize.
Tetro was received with mixed feelings. While some critics applauded Francis Frodd’s efforts some found it to be somewhat half-baked. On Rotten Tomatoes, it had an approval rating of 70% and 3/5 on RogerEbert.com Audience on iMDb gave the film a 6.9/10 rating.
Stoker (2013)
Stoker was written by and stars , , and as its main characters. It follows the story of the Stokers as their unknown uncle, Charlie Stoker (Matthew Goode) moves into their home after the death of their father, Richard Stoker (Dermot Mulroney). India (Mia Wasikowska), Richard’s daughter believes Charlie has sinister motives but she does nothing about it – only getting infuriated.
This British-American film is regarded as one of the worst films Alden Ehrenreich has appeared in because of its commercial failure and average critical reception. With a budget expenditure of $12 million, this movie was only able to recover its production budget at the box office as it grossed only $12.1 million. Critically, it had an average approval rating of 69% on Rotten Tomatoes and 58% on Metacritic.
Rules Don’t Apply (2016)
Academy Awards winning filmmaker Warren Beatty wrote, produced and directed this comedy-drama that was released in 2016. Its cast included himself, , , , and Alden Ehrenreich. Despite having a Golden Globe awards nomination by one of its cast, the movie wasn’t much of a success.
It was a huge commercial flop as the movie was only able to gross $3.9 million against a budget of $25 million. Its critical reception was fair and average – 60% on Metacritic and 55% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Beautiful Creatures (2013)
This Alden Ehrenreich film was described by a critic as ‘Twilight in reverse’ – with the only difference being that the genders were changed. Beautiful Creatures is a romantic fantasy film directed by Richard LaGravenese based on a novel with the same name written by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.

Twixt (2012)
This is another poorly written, poorly filmed and underacted horror film in Alden Ehrenreich’s filmography and it was released in 2012. Twixt is regarded as the worst film Alden has ever starred in due to its immense failure critically and commercially. Twixt was written, produced and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. It featured Val Kilmer, Bruce Dern, , and Ben Chaplin.
Twixt, which is an old English word meaning between two things, is a movie about the dream world and the waking world. It grossed $1.7 million against a budget of $7 million. On a critical basis, it had an abysmal rating of 29% on Rotten Tomatoes and 40% on Metacritic indicating poor reception. Some reviewers described the movie as “flimsy and unwatchable.”
