Abdulfattah John Jandali – Bio
Abdulfattah John Jandali first came into this world on the 15th day of March 1931 and was born in Homs, Syria. Born into a well-to-do family, Abdulfattah Jandali spent his early life in Syria. His father is a self-made millionaire while his mother worked as a homemaker.
Soon after he completed his high school education, Jandali went on to attend the American University of Beirut. During his university days, Jandali was a well-known Arab nationalism activist and through his conduct, he landed himself in jail where he spent three days. He later got back to school and finally graduated during the 1950s.
After his graduation, Abdulfattah John Jandali relocated to New York where he lived with his relative, Najm Eddin al Rifai – then-Syrian ambassador to the United States. Jandali acquired his masters from Columbia University. In addition, he also earned his Ph.D. in Economics and Political Sciences from Wisconsin University.
While the hope of every graduate is to get a comfortable job and make money. However, it was a different case for Abdulfattah John Jandali who became broke; hence he returned back to his native country, Syria to look for a job. While in Syria, he looked for a job in different fields including the diplomatic corps. He briefly worked as a director of an oil firm in Homs and in 1962, he moved back to the United States. When he arrived, he got a job as an assistant professor at Michigan University as well as Nevada University.
A few years later, he decided to pursue a career as a restaurateur. In view of this, Jandali procured Boomtown Casino situated in Nevada. There, he has been working as the Vice president of the establishment to date.

Just like we stated above, Abdulfattah John Jandali came from a well-to-do Syrian family. While his father was a well-known millionaire, nothing much is known about him. His mother, on the other hand, was said to be a homemaker and a traditional housewife. It is not known, however, if Jandali is the only child of his parents as he has never given insights regarding that.
Regarding his personal life, Abdulfattah John Jandali has been married twice in his lifetime. His first marriage was with his college sweetheart and love of his life, Carole Schieble. The couple met each other while attending the University of Wisconsin. Not long after, they started dating and in 1955, they welcomed their first child, a son named Steve. Although Jandali and Carole had planned to get married, Carole’s dad wouldn’t let her marry a Syrian immigrant.
In the wake of the foregoing, Carole gave up Steve for adoption in order to help him get a better life. Steve was later adopted by Clara and Paul Jobs whom he adopted their last name – Jobs. After a few months, Carole’s dad died and she got the opportunity to marry the love of her life. After their wedding, the couple also welcomed another child, this time, a daughter who they named Mona.
While their relationship soared, the couple moved back to Syria and after a while, their relationship turned sour. They decided to call it quits following six years of marriage and their divorce was finalized in 1962. As a result of their divorce, Carole returned to the United States where she later got hitched to a man named George Simpson.
Abdulfattah John Jandali on the other hand also married a woman named Roscille Colburn in 2006. As for their daughter, Mona, she later changed her last name to Simpson.
