Adam Eaton is a professional baseball player who has become very famous playing in the Major Baseball League (MLB) for the Washington Nationals as an outfielder. Eaton made his debut in the league in 2012 and playing for more than a couple teams, he has risen to be a significant player in the league. Here is all to know about him.
Adam Eaton Biography
It was as Adam Cory Eaton that the Nationals outfielder was born on December 6, 1988, in Springfield, Ohio. He was brought up by his parents, Glenn Eaton and Robin Eaton both of whom he has said he would remain forever grateful for their sacrifices.
The star who began playing baseball rather early in his life was raised alongside a brother, Zachary Eaton who as at 2015, was said to be a captain in the United States Air Force. It is rather very surprising that he chose baseball instead of the Army as both his parents worked in the Army in the same way as his brother.
For his education, the outfielder began at the Kenton Ridge High School and from there, he went to the Miami University where he played for the baseball team of the college. Even before then, he played baseball in his high school days. He played as a pitcher and outfielder for his school, helping the team to get to the 2014 and 2015 regional finals.
Adam began his journey professionally when he was drafted in the Major League Baseball Draft of 2010. He was selected as the 571st pick. Playing in the minor league, he was named the All-Star outfielder of the Pioneer League.
In 2012, he made his MBL debut for the Arizona Diamondbacks, but that was after he became the Most valuable player and the Rookie of the Year of the in the Pacific Coast League (PCL). As a result of an injury he sustained, he only played 66 games for the club before he was traded to the Chicago White Sox.
Adam Eaton remained with the White Sox until 2016 when he was traded to the Washington Nationals. There, he was soon to be placed on the disabled list after he returned with a knee strain. The problem would later be found to be more than just that, forcing him to miss the rest of the season.
He returned for the Nationals in 2018, only to be awarded the National Player of the Week award. That was the first time he got the award in his career. However, he soon was placed again on the disabled list following an injury affecting his left leg where he had a surgery done. He remained out from April until June 2018 when he made another appearance in the league.
Looking at his career in the MBL which can thus far be described as quite successful, he has got some recognition such as the AL triples leader in the 2014 and 2016 MLB seasons.

As regards his career stats, he has recorded good runnings thus far, making a batting average of .285 through April 2018. More so, Adam has recorded 619 hits, 38 home runs, 195 batted in while his stolen bases is 57. Overall, he has played 553 games, recording 2458 plate appearances.

For a player who has come and gone very far in the MLB, his contract allows him to take home a salary of $6 million. After his move to his new team in 2017, his salary was $4 million. Further down, he got $850 thousand in 2015 while in 2014 the pay was $511 thousand.
When he made his first show in the MLB for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2012, Adam Eaton took home $480 thousand which went up to $491 thousand in his second season.
