Antonella Roccuzzo was born to Jose and Patricia Roccuzzo on the 26th of February, 1988, in Rosario, the third largest city in Argentina. Her father, Jose, was a businessman while her mother Patricia was a homemaker. In addition to Antonella, Jose and Patricia had two other daughters, Carla and Paula, who all grew up together in their hometown.
Antonella, who has been described as being a very shy child, was said to have attended a local high school in Rosario before heading to the university to study odontology. She, however, later switched to social communication.
Antonella Roccuzzo and Lionel Messi’s Love Story
Antonella Roccuzzo has known Lionel Messi ever since she was a child; 5 years of age to be exact. They met through her cousin who was a childhood friend of Messi. Messi was said to have always visited her cousin, who has been identified as Lucas Scaglia, in a bid to just see his future bride.
The couple announced their relationship in 2008, although it has been said that the pair were an item long before that. What, however, cemented their love was when Messi flew back to Argentina in 2007 to condole with Roccuzzo who had lost a close friend of hers in a motor accident.
In 2010, the couple got engaged in a private ceremony, leading to Roccuzzo leaving her hometown of Argentina for Spain where Messi resides. The couple moved in together and two years later, they welcomed their first child, Thiago, who was born on the 2nd of November, 2012. After Thiago’s birth, Roccuzzo continued to stay away from the spotlight and declined numerous interviews. She is also not a very active social media user as she does not have Twitter and Facebook accounts. She, however, has an Instagram account where she has been able to amass over four million followers.
Messi meanwhile for the first time in his life, stepped out of the good boy frame he had been placed in by inking a huge tattoo of his first child on his body. The Argentine forward got Thiago’s name and handprints tattooed below the shape of a heart on the back of his left foot.
On the 11th of September 2015, Messi and Roccuzzo welcomed their second child, a son Mateo. This time around it was Roccuzzo’s turn to ink her body as she tattooed the names of both her children on the back of each of her hands.
Having spent the better part of a decade together with two children, the couple finally thought it wise to exchange vows. The date was set to be June 30, 2017, at their hometown of Rosario, Argentina. The event was billed as Argentina’s wedding of the century as Argentina royalty as well as Messi’s close football friends made their way to the City Centre Hotel and Casino where it took place.
Some of the football stars who attended the ceremony are Cesc Fabregas, , Xavi Hernandez, Carles Puyol and Samuel Eto’o. Over 450 police officers were brought in to manage the situation as guests were made to turn off their phones.
Almost soon after the wedding, the Messi’s announced they were expecting another child. On March 10, 2018, Antonella gave birth to a third son, Ciro Messi.

Antonella Roccuzzo devotes lots of her time to taking care of her children. However, in November 2016, she announced via Instagram that she had signed a modeling contract with Argentine fashion label Ricky Sarkany.
In addition to that, she and one of her closest friends, Sofia Balbi, the wife of , have opened a Sarkany boutique in Barcelona.
