On March 9, 2016, He signed a 4 years deal worth $72 million ($37 million guaranteed) to play for the Houston Texans. However, in what was regarded as the most creative in NFL history, Osweiler was traded to the Cleveland Browns along with the Texans’ 2017 sixth-round pick and 2018 second-round pick in exchange for the Browns’ 2017 fourth-round compensatory pick.
After he was released by the Browns, Brock Osweiler signed a one-year contract with the Denver Broncos on September 2, 2017, to cover up for backup quarterback Paxton Lynch who sustained a shoulder injury.
