At the expiration of the three years contract, the company in January 2015, announced that Elliott would then be joining them as a full-time Sprint Cup driver. The news came exactly at the same time Elliott was been celebrated as the youngest driver in the history of NASCAR to win the national series championship. In 2016, he was crowned the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year.
In 2017, Chase Elliott won the pole for the Daytona 500 for the second year in a row. His most recent win is 2017 Alpha Energy Solutions 250 (Martinsville). Asides from racing, Elliot has made some television appearances and has also been featured as a playable driver in video games.
