At the time, she was working in Dallas, Texas as a TV reporter. For some years she worked as a correspondent for KTVT/Channel 11. Subsequently, she became the executive producer and host of a segment on The Daily Buzz titled “Buzzed Into DFW.” The Daily Buzz aired on KTXA/Channel 21, a sister station to CBS 11.
By December 2006, Christina McLarty had transferred to KCBS and KCAL, both CBS Stations in Los Angeles. In recent years, she has been serving as a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight and Omg! Insider.

In an appearance on ‘s show in September 2011, Arquette confirmed for the first time that he was dating McLarty and that he met her on a boat party in the summer. Rumors of a romance between them began swirling after they were in July of the same year at the Camp Playboy event at Comic-Con.
