Cody Bellinger’s Bio (Age)
The Dodgers’ first baseman was born in Scottsdale, Arizona, on 13th July 1995 as the middle child of Jennifer Bellinger and Clay Bellinger, a popular baseball player who played for the Yankees from 1999 to 2001 and spent four years in the majors. After his stint with the Yankees, Clay went on to play for the Anaheim Angels in 2002, after which he moved to the Baltimore Orioles, where he wrapped up his career in 2004 even though he didn’t make the roster. Besides his baseball career, Clay is a volunteer firefighter as well as a real estate businessman.
A product of Hamilton High School, Cody Bellinger has an older sister and a younger brother, Cole who is a baseball player as well. He is currently having the best moments of his young career with the San Diego Padres after he was drafted by the team in April 2017 in the 15th round. Cole is four years younger than Cody and is a graduate of Hamilton High School of Chandler, Arizona. He led the school to the State Championship and pitched 6.2 innings in the 6-4 clincher in a game against Phoenix’s Pinnacle High. While we are hopeful it could likely happen someday in the nearest future, supporters of the Bellinger brothers are eager to see them pitch against each other in the big leagues.
Family – Mom and Sister
There is no doubt that sustained family support, to a great extent, enhances confidence and success in sports. For many athletes, it is one of the biggest weapons towards building a flourishing career and Bellinger is not exempted. The outfielder’s family has been a crucial part of his life and career.
His mother, Jennifer Bellinger, is a Cabi stylist while his sister, the oldest of Jennifer’s three children, is called Ashli Bellinger. A sports enthusiast and volleyball player, Ashli studied Psychology at Vanguard University in Costa Mes, California, where she was also part of the school’s volleyball team. She currently lives in Chandler and was a big fan of Texas Rangers but that’s probably changed since her younger brother joined the Dodgers.
As gathered, Cody’s mom and sister are members of The Grove missional Christian church in Chandler. While Ashli works as the Kids At The Grove Large Group Coordinator and high school ministry director, his mother serves as the children’s pastor.
Girlfriend
The baseball star player is reportedly dating a law student at the University of Texas-Austin called Melyssa Perez. Although it is not known exactly when the Los Angeles Dodgers and the beautiful Friendswood, Texas native kicked off their relationship, the lovebirds have been spotted together severally on the field.
Born Melyssa Renee Perez, the beautiful lady currently works as a volunteer for an American firm that offers legal services to low-income immigrants in Central Texas called American Gateways. As stated on her Instagram account, Perez stays in Laguna, California when she is not in school.
Height
Obviously one of the MLB’ players with a good height, Cody Bellinger is 6 feet 4 inches tall, which is equal to 1.93 meters and weighs 95 kilograms. As is evident on the field, the outfielder’s body build and formation have been of great help to his team and thriving career as well.
