Colleen Ballinger is the lady behind the popular YouTube character Miranda Sings. Miranda Sings is a singer seen to be ridiculously talentless by everyone else but herself. Colleen created the character to satirize people with a bad voice who attempt to make their big break on the social media platform.
She began posting with the character in 2008 and slowly began building a following. In 2010, her clip of Miranda Sings singing off key to ‘s California Girls went viral almost immediately garnering over 5 million views. After graduating from San Marcos High School, Ballinger attended Azusa Pacific University graduating in 2008 with a degree in vocal performance. During her college years, she began performing for Disney and also gave piano lessons to kids.
While in college, Colleen began to make fun of rude and cocky girls in her school who despite being poor at singing attempted to make YouTube careers out of it. Colleen Ballinger dated fellow YouTube star Joshua David Evans for 7 years, before marrying him in July 2015 in a wedding that was held in California. Both born to be in front of the camera, Colleen and Joshua never shied away from flaunting their romance on their respective channels.

Evans also took to his channel to talk about their shocking divorce.
“We’ve had some great times and terrible times over the past eight years,” he said.
“I am not choosing this divorce, I do not want this divorce. I want her but I truly believe she thinks she’s making the right decision right now and I can’t make her decisions for her.”
Following the split, they both took a break from social media. Their union produced no kids. They have both since taken down the videos where they talked about their divorce.
