Leigh Daniel Avidan, popularly known as Dan Avidan in the professional realm is a musician, songwriter, comedian, actor and internet personality.
The American artist also goes by the stage name Danny Sexbang. He is famous for being the co-host of Lets’s Play web-series Game Grumps with Arin Hanson and also being a part of the video game comedy music trio Starbomb alongside Wecht and Hanson. In music, most people will readily identify him as one-half of the musical comedy duo Ninja Sex Party with Brian Wecht.

Bio, Age
Avidan was born on 14th March 1979, in Springfield, Union New Jersey to Debra Schwartz and Avigdor Avidan as the elder of two children. He is of mixed descent as he is half Jewish from his father’s side and half Norwegian from his mother’s side.
Growing up, he was enrolled at Jonathan Dayton High School from where he graduated in 1997. In his high school days, he wasn’t so studious, instead, he devoted much time to the extracurricular activities in the school where he used to sing and dance during the programmes held at the time.
After high school, Dan got admitted to study advertising at Boston University in Boston Massachusetts. He, however, got disinterested in pursuing the advertising course and instead opted for a students exchange program in Tufts University satellite campus in Talloires, France where he studied botany.

His family has an Isreali origin as his father, a businessman who ran a company was born and raised in Isreal, he served in the Yom Kippur War before migrating to America. His grandfather, Bernard Schwartz is known for assisting in inventing the body electrode.
Dan’s mum, Debra who ran a shop of grocery, met his father when he migrated to America. His sister, Dana Avidan Cohn is a bench jeweller, the executive style director of Popsugar as well as the executive correspondent of InStyle magazine.
Career Beginnings
His career started when he joined an indie rock band, ‘The Northern Hues,’ a Philadelphia-based group created in early 2002. The band had as its members – Jeff Rains, Alex Yaker, Justin Earley, and Ian Creech with Dan being the lead singer and songwriter. They released their self-titled EP and one live track recorded in early 2005, at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia in mid-2015 before the band split up due to lack of focus and purposeful planning in many unproductive years.
By late 2006, he paired with Peter Lennox to form a Brooklyn pop duo named ‘Skyhill’ and performed exactly the same functions he pulled off in his former band. The band released the album Run With The Hunted on May 16, 2007, and toured the whole of New York in 2008 before separating due to what was termed “creative differences.”
The duo however reunited by October 2015 precisely on the 7th, Avidan and Lennox released a single titled Firefly which suggested that the erstwhile band has matured both in lyrics and sound when compared to their previous album.
Prior to his reunification with Lennox, he began studying storytelling and improv in 2008 at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York where he was tutored by Margot Leitman. In this same year, he was introduced to Brian Wecht, the musical director of another troupe by mutual friends at the theatre in early 2009 and worked with him to create characters to represent the band. They gained recognition by performing at musical guests in comedy show stripped stories.
The duo released several studio albums and singles which successfully charted on the Billboard. They began working on their fourth album title Cool Patrol in 2016, having successfully released three previous ones, The album is billed to be released by June 1018.
In addition to the successes of the band, they have appeared in various film festivals like SXSW, Dragon Con, and the LACS.
