Dave Rubin needs no formal introduction to many, especially those familiar with The Rubin Report, a political talk show and podcast that currently airs on YouTube which is being hosted by the TV personality. Rubin is a U.S comedian, talk show host, and political commentator who is popularly known for hosting his own talk show The Rubin Report. Before going for his own show, he had hosted a podcast and radio show on Sirius XM Radio, The Six Pack. He has also hosted The Ben and Dave Show.
Dave Rubin – Biography
Rubin was born in Brooklyn, New York on the 26th of June 1976 as David Joshua Rubin and was raised in a secular Jewish household. As an adolescence, he lived in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York, for the next thirteen years of his life.
He attended Syosset High School, from where he graduated from in 1994. After high school, he proceeded to the Binghamton University, Vestal, New York, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 1998.
After college, he launched his career first as a stand-up comedian, doing comedy and attending open mics in and around the city. In 1999, he signed up as an intern at The Daily Show with , but that didn’t mean he gave up he stand-up comedy career.
In 2000, he went back fully to his career at the New York-based Comedy Cellar and later that year, he joined other comedians at the club to create a public-access television series called The Anti-Show. Rubin co-founded other comedy clubs in New York like the Joe Franklin’s Comedy Club and The Comedy Company located in Times Square where he continued his stand-up until 2007 when he dived into other areas of the media before coming back to his first love in 2018 with an outstanding stand-up performance at a show held at the Irvine Improv Comedy Club.
After years of doing stand-up comedy, Dave Rubin went into podcasting and social media. He hosted some of the very popular podcasts like the Ben and Dave show which was later turned into a comedy series on TV and also the Hot Gay Comics. In 2009, he began hosting a podcast and radio show on Sirius XM Radio, called The Six Pack. He also hosted also a weekly web-series on Logo TV called The Golden Girls Ultimate Fan Club.
From 2013, Dave Rubin began some hosting his own show The Rubin Report. The show is a political talk show, where Rubin addresses issues on political correctness, religion, the media, foreign affairs, free speech etc and he is often regarded as the ideological split between progressivism and liberalism.
The Rubin Report first began airing on The Young Turks Network in 2013 before being moved to RYOT News and then Ora TV. Dave would later cite Cenk Uygur’s heated criticism of Harris as one of the major reasons he left The Young Turks in an interview withon The Rubin Report.
Rubin also interviewed a whole lot of other celebrities on his show like Jordan Peterson, Lindsey Shepherd, , Roseanne Barr, Steven Crowder, etc.
