From the 2011 season through the 2014 season, he was a Big D player who quickly rose from a third-string running back behind Felix Jones (starter) and Tashard Choice (second string) to becoming a starter due to his sheer brilliance and prolific play.
With the Cowboys, Demarco led the league with a 91-yard touchdown in 2011, and 1,845 rushing yards in 392 rushing attempts in 2014. As the season began, the running back performed less impressively for the champion he was, this elicited criticism from fans of his team and lovers of American football in general. Worse still, Murray picked up a hamstring injury for which he missed the Week 3 game of the 2015 season.
His poor performances were further exacerbated due to the offensive line not being in concordance with his style of play. He was also demoted at a time to make way for who was thought to be quicker and more effective.
By the time Murray was set to leave the Philadelphia Eagles, he had recorded a meager 702 rushing yards on 20 carries with no carrier highs.

Net Worth
The footballer has been well rewarded for the times he was out there on the pitch for the various clubs he played for. Though with the biggest signing he seemed to have performed the least, it still does not mean that Demarco was an ordinary football player.
He made his mark in his own time for which his net worth of $3 million is a pointer to. Perhaps, as Demarco Murray furthers his career as a sports broadcaster, we might probably see him add some more figures to his current net worth.
