At the start of the 2012–13 season, Livakovi was a member of NK Zagreb’s first team. Initially the club’s backup goalkeeper, he made his league debut on August 31, 2012, when he played the entire game in a 1–0 loss at home to HNK Cibalia. He quickly rose to the position of the first choice for the club, making a total of 104 league matches in four seasons, including 90 in the Prva HNL.
