Drew Grant is an American journalist, writer, editor, producer and aspiring actress who has a great passion for the entertainment industry. She has always been one to express herself and it’s no surprise that she made journalism her career choice.
With an innate passion for self-expression, Drew carefully chose her course of study in college and it was one that would steer her closer to her life-long dream of effectively and precisely expressing herself as she deems fit. Drew Grant was born on the 25th of May, although she has not yet disclosed her year of birth. She was born in the tree-lined neighbourhood of Park Slope in Brooklyn, New York City in the United States of America. She was born into a very serene neighbourhood made up of successful adults and young professionals.
Drew Grant has never talked about her growing up years. She has also never talked about her parents – who they are, what they did, how they raised their kids or even their names. The actress and journalist has not mentioned anything about her siblings at all; neither has she ever mentioned which high school she attended or anything about her teenage crush and heartbreaks.
When she was still very young, she vividly remembers that her family moved from Park Slope in New York to Los Angeles. After she finished high school, she got admission to the University of Oberlin – famous for its liberal arts programmes, in Oberlin, Ohio, USA. She graduated in 2006, with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in English Language and Literature.
Career
After Drew Grant graduated from college, she wasted no time at all in securing a job to begin her career in journalism. Her first job was as an editorial assistant, sort of an internship, with 236.com in 2007. There, she reported about pop culture – one of her passions. She worked with this organization for 18 months, leaving some time in 2008. She then joined Jossip Initiatives, working as an editor; there, she covered very big events and reported on big stories. She worked briefly with this outfit for just 10 months, ending May 2009. In the same year, Drew Grant followed another passion of her’s – blogging; she started blogging for an outlet called Nerve. In 2009, she joined an online media outfit – Crushable.com as a staff writer. She worked there for about 2 years and left their employ in February 2011. In that same month, Drew took up employment as a writer on pop culture with the Salon Media group; she worked there briefly for just 7 months and left.
Drew rose to prominence in her field when she joined New York city’s The Observer as a staff writer. Through hard work and diligence, she climbed up the corporate ladder and eventually became the Arts and Entertainment editor of The Observer. She worked there for several years before eventually leaving in June 2017. She then joined The Real Clear Media Group late 2017 but left just after 6 months, in April 2018.
As of the time of this writing, Drew Grant works at a media outfit called Ranker. For a while, she has done a lot of freelance content writing jobs for popular media outlets such as Forbes, Bunny Ears, Cosmopolitan, AV Club, and a few more. She also has a personal blog where she talks about dogs. As an aspiring actress, she has featured in one episode of the television series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

In 2010, Drew Grant was at a social event where she was introduced by a friend to a certain Ari Melber. Ari is a law graduate who practised at a few firms before he turned to journalism. Melber, just like Drew, rose through the ranks very rapidly as a result of hard work and dedication to become the host of his own talk show on MSNBC network called The Beat with Ari Melber. After dating Drew for 3 years, Ari finally proposed to her and she accepted. They got married in 2014 at a very private ceremony where only a few guests were invited. After 3 years of being married in 2017, the couple announced they were getting a divorce; no reason was given officially for their decision. There are some speculations that infidelity was the undisclosed reason for the split.
