Eric Balfour’s Bio (Ethnicity and Background Details)
Eric Salter Balfour was born on the 24th of April 1977 in Los Angeles, California to Ashkenazi Jewish parents David Balfour and Sharon Balfour (née Salter). His ethnicity can be traced back to Native America, with traces of French and Canadian. He has a younger sister who is named Tori Balfour.

A natural born dancer, Eric’s dancing skill was pivotal in helping him land the role of Eric in the kid’s TV program, Kids Incorporated which would become his first ever acting gig.
He would later meet acting coach John Homa who helped to hone his skills and prepare him for a future in Hollywood. Throughout the 1990s, Eric appeared in a series of TV shows and films, mostly taking up minor roles.
That long period of remaining unrecognized would eventually culminate in Balfour’s breakthrough which came by the new millennium.
He successfully auditioned for a recurring role in Six Feet Under. His character was only meant to feature in the pilot but the makers were too awed by Balfour’s performance that he was handed a recurring role.
