His name is actually Garold Joseph Knipfing but he is popularly known with the stage name – Gary Valentine. Gary is one of Hollywood’s famously prodigious and witty actors, a writer and equally a comedian. He was brought to the limelight when he starred in the 9 seasons sitcom The King of Queens, which aired on CBS.
Although he has a German/Jewish origin, the talented actor was born in the town of Mineola, New York City in the United States of America on November 22, 1961, to his father Joseph Valentine Knipfing (Jr), owner of an insurance agency and his mother Janet Knipfing who once worked as a Chiropractor.
Gary first began as a stand up comedian and he luckily caught the attention of many at the Montreal Comedy Festival which subsequently led to several other shows at various levels and cities as he is seen appearing on talk shows like The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with , and from time to time he was featured on the E! Network late night talk show, Chelsea Lately.
He joined Hollywood in 1993 and left New York City to Los Angeles where he believed his talents could be put to better use and possibly find better opportunities, and fortunately, this worked out for him as he has starred in many TV Shows and movies such as The Dog Who Saved Christmas (2009), The Dog Who Saved Christmas Vacation(2010), The Dog Who Saved Halloween (2011).
He featured as Stunner in Velocity Rules (2001), Maury in Deported—a comedy (2009), as Karl Eisendorf in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007), as Pizza Guy in Zookeeper (2001), as Dallas in Jack and Jill (2011), as Saul Gundermutt in Paul Blirt: Mall Cop 2 (2015). He is the executive producer of a TV series, The Bachelor Chronicles. Gary equally hosts comedy tour in clubs in various cities in the United States.
