General Sam has been on the platform for a long time and has built a loyal subscriber base. On his channel, he uploads mostly videos of his gameplay. What really endears him to his followers though is his dry humor-laden and often self-deprecating commentary that always leaves his fans reeling with laughter.
General Sam’s Biography
The comic YouTube vlogger was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. He came into the world on August 5, 1991. Sam has decided to only let himself be known as the game streamer and YouTube personality. Consequently, he has let nothing slip about his early life and growing up with his parents and siblings. He also has not revealed the details of his schooling and academic qualifications, if any.
General Sam, whose real name remains unknown, has been on the platform a long time. It is not certain though exactly when he started but the YouTuber runs an eponymous channel and it was not his first. He had a previous channel that he ran for a while until it was shut down by YouTube.
He did not give up or skip a step. He started his General Sam channel on the same day the old one was shut down and uploaded his first video the same day – January 25, 2013. As of June 2019, the channel has amassed well over 700,000 subscribers and over 137,000,000 total views. Sam is also active on Twitch under the handle GeneralSam123.
It is unclear when he got married but General Sam is a husband to his wife who is only known as Abby. Together, they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Madeline, sometime in July 2018.

For the first six years since he started General Sam, he uploaded well over 700 videos. A reasonable number of those videos have also garnered millions of views individually. His most popular video for a while was “Skyrim: The Last Enemy That Shall Be Destroyed”. The video was uploaded on April 8, 2014. Four years later, on April 6, 2018, he uploaded “Things You Can Only Do In Skyrim VR” and in under a year, it surpassed the former video as his most viewed.
2. He had a case of temporal erectile dysfunction at 23
During an eye check, it was discovered that he had unusually high blood pressure for someone his age. On the advice of some medical professionals, he booked a schedule to go in for an examination.
After a full body check, and confirmation that every other thing were at their normal levels, the doctor prescribed lisinopril to General Sam to help bring his blood pressure down. He thought that was the end of his problems. However, a week later, while trying to make love to his wife, he couldn’t get an erection. Sometime in 2017, Sam’s brother had dragged him along on his adventure across the Appalachian Trail. It was not a pleasant experience for the YouTuber. They had not even gone have of the trail before he got sick and started puking.
He did not give up, however. Two years later, sometime in 2019, General Sam and his brother again backpacked and went on another adventure of the Appalachian Trail. This time, they decided to cover more than double the distance they had covered during their first adventure. Sam was also unprepared the last time, so this time he decided to pack heavy. He brought with him a lot of food, toilet paper, and an assorted assembly of hiking items.
However, the hike ended up lasting for shorter than the last time. They did only about 16 miles of their projected 80 miles and eventually had to give up on the hike because of tornado warnings.
