Jeremy Sisto is an American actor who is widely recognized for his portrayal of Billy Chenowith in the HBO hit drama series, Six Feet Under. The highly successful series which ran from 2001 to 2005 gained him nominations for SAG Awards’ Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series all through its 5 seasons; he won the award in 2002 and 2003.
Sisto is also known for his role as Detective Cyrus Lupo on NBC’s crime drama series, Law and Order. He joined the main cast of the series in its 18th season and was part of the show until the 20th and final season. He also starred in 3 seasons of the ABC sitcom, Suburgatory, which ran from 2011 to 2014. Beyond acting, Sisto has written and produced a good number of movies.

While in high school, Jeremy Sisto worked at a few theatres in town. He first showcased his acting skill in the Twisted Sister’s music video, ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It’. Then, when he was 17 years old, he landed his first movie role in the drama film, Grand Canyon. Upon graduation from high school, Jeremy Sisto proceeded to The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and his acting career took off fulltime after he graduated from college.
Following his motion picture debut in 1991, the skilled actor had another role in a TV film titled Desperate Choices: To Save My Child. He then went ahead to star in the 1995 cult classic, Clueless. However, his first lead role in a big movie came in 1999 when he played a titular role in the biblical historical film, Jesus. 2001 to 2005 marked a high point in Jeremy Sisto’s career as he featured in the highly successful series, Six Feet Under.
