Actor, writer, director, and comedian, Jason Nash is a bundle of talents which he has utilized effectively and as a result, catapulted himself to stardom both on the internet and in the mainstream media. Though he originally started his showbiz career on the traditional media, Nash got his big break on the now-defunct video-sharing app, Vine. Following the deactivation of Vine in October 2016, the multi-talented star has continued to flourish as he has spread his tentacles to other social media platforms.

Jason Nash was given the names Jason Eric Nash when he was born on May 23, 1973, in Boston Massachusetts. He had his college education at the University of Massachusetts and upon graduation, he relocated to New York where he worked for one year as a personal assistant to TV personality, Norm MacDonald. He equally worked for MTV as a writer and by 2001, he relocated to Los Angeles when he landed a role on the VHI comedy series Random Play.
As a stand-up comedian, Nash trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater in Los Angeles and was also a member of the sketch comedy troupe “Price, Nash and Blieden” alongside two fellow comics. Working together, the trio performed at various comedy festivals and also created TV shows for major television networks.
Among other accomplishments, Jason Nash co-created the wildly successful podcast Guys with Feelings in January 2006 alongside Jeff Bumgarner. Back in 2010, he featured in season 7 of the NBC reality talent competition Last Comic Standing making it to the semifinal stage. He also headlined the Comedy Central web series Jason Nash Is Married which featured Hollywood actress Busy Philipps. In addition to his role as the lead actor, Nash served as the writer, producer and director of the series. Following the success of the series’s 2nd season in 2013, the multi-talented star also worked on its feature film adaptation of the same name which was released in June 2014.
Jason Nash originally got on to Vine with the aim of getting some copies of his movie sold, however, he got much more than he bargained. Soon after joining the platform, his Vine followership and viewership began to soar and thus he was inspired to begin making vines on a full-time basis. His 6-second comedy clips on Vine earned him a massive following and he became one of the most notable influencers on the app.
In 2016, Nash collaborated with fellow internet star on the feature film FML: A Social Media Adventure which had a star-studded cast of other Vine stars and comedians. Over the years, Nash successfully amassed as many as 2.7 million followers and a cumulative 1.6 billion loops on Vine. However, all that hard work went down the drain in October 2016 when Twitter, the founding company of Vine, announced the discontinuation of the app.
Despite the setback, the multi-talented star has continued to make waves on other digital media platforms. His eponymous YouTube channel boasts of well over 1.5 million subscribers. Alongside fellow YouTube star David Dobrik, Jason Nash launched a weekly podcast “Views” in May 2017 which reached No. 3 on the iTunes charts when it debuted.

However, the plans for the tour fell through as the couple parted ways a month before its scheduled dates.
