US-born Jeff Gordon is acclaimed to be one of the most successful professional drivers in the history of stock car racing. Way back in 1998, he was featured on NASCAR’s list of 50 Greatest Drivers. He has a record 93 career wins, the highest in the sport’s modern era.
During his career as a full-time race car driver, Jeff Gordon was the driver of the No. 24 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, a role he played successfully for 23 full-time seasons. For the 2016 season, he served as a fill-in driver for Dale Earnhardt Jr in about 8 races. He has not participated in any NASCAR race since 2016, however, there has been no official announcement of his retirement.
In April 2015, Jeff Gordon ventured into broadcasting working as a race analyst for FOX Sports. He is equally interested in the business aspect of the game being a co-owner of the No. 48 Chevrolet among others.

Jeffery Michael “Jeff” Gordon was born on August 4, 1971, in Vallejo, California to Carol Ann Bickford (née Houston) and William Grinnell Gordon. His parents’ marriage fell apart when he was just 6 months old. He was raised in Pittsboro, Indiana by his mother and his stepfather John Bickford. Jeff graduated from Tri-West Hendricks High School in Lizton, Indiana in 1989.
As a race car driver, Jeff Gordon dominated the sport between the 90s and the 2000s. However, his charisma both on and off the track stems not only from his natural talent but also from several decades of hard work.
At age 4, this Gordon received a BMX bike from his father and he began to ride and by age 5, he started racing with Quarter Midget cars. By age 6, the young Jeff Gordon had already been crowned champion at 35 main events and had set a number of records. At the age of 11, Gordon competed against boys twice his age in 25 karting races and he was victorious in all of them.
In 1987, 16-year-old Jeff Gordon became the youngest driver to receive the United States Auto Club (USAC) license. He was named the USAC Midget Car Racing Rookie of the Year in 1989. His career as a midget car racer lasted from 1989 to 1992.
Jeff Gordon made his debut as a fulltime Busch driver in 1991. in 1992, he got signed with Rick Hendrick marking the beginning of an illustrious stint with the Hendrick Motorsports family. In 1993, Gordon started competing in the Cup Series competition and was again named Rookie of the year.
In 1994, Jeff Gordon won the maiden edition of the Brickyard 400. The following year, he won his first NASCAR Winston Cup Championship. In 1997, then-26-year-old Gordon became the youngest driver to win the Daytona 500 Championship. Jeff Gordon is a 4-time champion of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (1995, 1997, 1998 and 2001) as well as a 3-time winner of the Daytona 500 series (1997, 1999, and 2005).
The great sportsman is currently in his forties and, having stepped back from full-time driving, there are limitless career options available to him. Jeff Gordon was not raised in any form of religion, however, he is currently known to be a born-again Christian. According to him, he began to learn about God in the early 90s after accompanying some of his colleagues to church.

The duo first met way back in 2002 at a dinner party hosted by a mutual friend. However, they didn’t kick off a relationship until the year 2004. They got engaged in 2006 and on November 6 of the same year, the couple exchanged marital vows in a private ceremony in Mexico.
They have 2 children together, a son and a daughter. On June 20, 2007, the couple welcomed their daughter Ella Sofia Gordon. On August 9, 2010, they welcomed their son Leo Benjamin Gordon.
Prior to his current marriage, Jeff Gordon was married to Jennifer Brooke Sealey. The two met during the qualifiers for the 1993 Daytona 500 event where Sealey worked as a model. They got married way back in 1994, however, their marriage fell apart in the early 2000s. Their divorce was finalized on June 13, 2003.
