Kaitlan Collins may still be quite young, but she is rightly carving her own place in the broadcast media. It was on April 7, 1992, in Prattville, Alabama that Kaitlan Collins was born. She was also raised there alongside her siblings. The reporter got her education from Prattville High School and after she graduated, Collins went to the University of Alabama.
When she was in the university, Collins began studying chemistry before later finding love in journalism and political science. After she graduated in 2014, Kaitlan became a freelance blogger and writer, working with a number of journals and newspapers.
In 2014, she got hired by The Daily Caller as an entertainment reporter. Three years down the line, she was made the White House correspondent of the website, this was in 2017. Before then, she also covered the 2016 U.S. Presidential Elections for The Daily Caller.
In that same year, she was hired by CNN and was made White House Correspondent based in Washington, D.C. and in no time, she became known for her strong questions. In July 2018, she was barred from a White House press conference. According to her, she got barred for asking President questions relating to Russian President as well as Trump’s former attorney . However, White House press secretary claimed that the reporter shouted questions and refused to leave even when she was asked to.
On its part, CNN defended Collins calling the “ban” a retaliatory move by the White House. In the line of her work, she has traveled with President Donald Trump to Asia while she also covered various assignments for CNN including extensive coverage of the Senate special election.

Her Family and Boyfriend, Is Kaitlan Collins Married?
While nothing is known about her mother, it is known that her father is Jeff Collins, a senior mortgage banker. Also, she has three siblings – a sister Lena Grace and two brothers Brayden and Cole.
Inasmuch as the young CNN correspondent is not yet married, she has a boyfriend whose name is given as Will Douglas. Douglas is neither a media person nor a celebrity. He was born on April 1, 1979. He got his education from the University of Oklahoma, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Multi Interdisciplinary Studies in 2009. In 2013, he also got a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the same institution. In 2015, he founded Crimson Care Pharmacy Group.

Controversy
In October 2018, the reporter was called out after a couple of tweets she made in college in which she used anti-gay slurs resurfaced. In the tweets, she made use of the word “fag” and said she was uncomfortable among lesbians.
Although she came out to apologize for the tweets describing them as ignorant and immature, there were many who were not ready to let it go, with some including David Wohl suggesting that she should be fired. However, there were many who felt she should be forgiven since she apologized and was still young at the time of the tweet.
People that defended her included Brit Hume, a Fox News’ senior political analyst who said he knew the way he behaved in college and CNN’s Matt Dornic who is gay. Dornic said although it was disappointing, he had accepted her apologies knowing that it did not reflect what she felt towards the LGBTQ community.
