The thespian began his journey in the movie industry in the early in 1991 when he made appearances in television shows like A Country Practice (1992), Spellbinder (1997) Hey Dad..! The True Blood star was born Ryan Christian Kwanten in Sydney, Australia, on November 28, 1976, to Eddie Kwanten, an NSW Maritime worker, and Kris Kwanten, a Lifeline op shop coordinator. He is of Dutch ancestry and an Australian by nationality. Eddie (his mom) and Kris (his dad) are also parents to Ryan’s brothers – Mitchell Kwaten and Lloyd Kwaten. The former is a prominent musician while the latter is a medical practitioner.
Ryan finished his high school at St Paul’s Catholic College, in Manly, New South Wales, after which he enrolled at the University of Sydney, from where he obtained a degree in commerce.
