The talented singer was born as Natasha Tameika Cobbs on July 7, 1981, in Jesup Georgia into a Christian home. Her father is Bishop Riz Cobbs who died in 2014, having lived for sixty years and her mother is Lady Bertha Cobbs who is still alive and well. Tasha is an American of black ethnicity. She grew up in Jesup Georgia and her passion for music started from the choir where she led worship and grew in its practice until she got older.

From when she was younger, it has always been evident that Tasha had a gift which was geared towards music, but due to her upbringing and religion, she chose to channel it into making gospel tracks.

Having been a worship leader practically all her life, Tasha joined the Dream Center Church in 2006 where she oversees four ministry departments connected to the arts, including worship, dance, and drama. The thriving ministry was founded by recording artist and Minister Pastor William H. Murphy, III. She stayed there until 2018 when she moved to Greenville South Carolina to join the throng of worship leaders at the Relentless Church.

Tasha Cobbs’ music career as a solo artist began fully in the year 2010 when she rewarded her fans at the time with her first album which she titled ‘Smile’.
