Born into a family with a sports background, his dad is a retired footballer who played cornerback for Michigan State, he equally was a good basketballer who also participated in track events. Jameis Winston began his college education on February 3, 2012, at the Florida State University. In the same year, he was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft but he declined to finalize the deal with the American baseball team.
The Buccaneers No. 3 jersey man began his career at Florida State as a quarterback. He made his first college appearance for the football team against the University of Pittsburgh. He finished the game with a rushing touchdown 14-17, four passing touchdowns and also completed 25 of 27 passes in the game.
Jameis extended his brilliant performance in the year 2013, earning several accolades, including the ACC player of the Year, the 2013 ACC Offensive Player of the Year, Walter Camp Player of the Year, Manning Award, Davey O’Brien Award, among others. The footballer joined the 2015 NFL Draft at the end of the 2014 season, finishing his robust career with 28 interceptions and 65 touchdowns. He also completed 562 of 851 passes for 7,964 yards as well as 26–1 as a starter. He was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the number one pick in the first round of the 2015 football draft. Allen has been with Winston through thick and thin. The two attended Birmingham-area high school and have been together way before the footballer became popular.
