Every fan of the bat-and-ball game, baseball should know who Joe Maddon is. The American as at the time of this report is managing the Major League Baseball’s Chicago Cubs. But that’s definitely not where his career began. Before he got to manage the cubs, the man proved his worth as a coach with Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and as a manager at Tampa Bay Rays.
With the Tampa Bay Rays, he won the 2008 American League pennant. After this, his next big accomplishment was getting himself named as the National League Manager of the Year 2015. This was after he propelled the Cubs to the National League Championship Series.
The next year (2016) would see him lead the team in its historic triumph against the Cleveland Indians. The Cubs since 1908, received its first World Series title and everyone agreed that Joe is an amazing manager.

The Chicago Cubs manager was born as Joseph John Maddon Jr. His date of birth was on the 8th day of February 1954. It was documented that his place of birth was in West Hazleton, Pennsylvania.
From what we gathered, Joe’s family surname was initially Maddonini. It was Joe Sr. his Italian Father who decided that the family abandon “Maddonini” for “Maddon”. While Joe Sr. who passed on in 2002 worked as a plumber, it is said that Joe’s mom who’s of Polish descent was working as a waitress.
Joe’s interest in sporting activities was quite obvious when he was still a lad, as he grew older, his passion for the sports increased and ultimately saw him playing both football and baseball at Easton, Pennsylvania’s Lafayette College.

Joe married his current wife Jaye in 1995 at Seal Beach’s Rossmoore Athletic Club in California. When they met, Jaye like Joe, was married. It is said that she was an accountant and a mother of two. They remained friends for almost half a decade until their marriages ended. Without any marital commitment, it was easy for the friendship to metamorphose into a romantic affair, culminating in an engagement and eventually saw the two become life partners in 2008.
