Josh Rosen’s Biography
He was born on February 10, 1997, with his birthplace listed as Manhattan Beach, California. Growing up, Rosen was always inclined to sports. He started out by playing the game of tennis as early as the age of 12. He was really good at it and earned lots of recognition for his skills. He continued to play tennis until he later changed to football before he enrolled into high school.
As a student of St. John Bosco High School, Rosen earned a lot of recognition for his outstanding playing prowess. With 90 touchdowns and a passing for 11,175 yards, he was rated on various platforms as the best of the best. Rivals.com ranked him as a five-star recruit and he was ranked as the best quarterback in his class by Scout.com. He also earned the Los Angeles Times Player of the Year title as well as the Long Beach Press-Telegram Dream Team Player of the Year.
After his high school, Rosen proceeded to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He soon became UCLA’s quarterback and played during the spring of 2014. The 2015 season saw him clinch a victory for the team in several games, and also garnered a lot of accolades to his name. He sustained an injury in his sophomore year. Rosen damaged a soft tissue on his throwing shoulder and had to undergo surgery to fix it. At the end of his years in school, the quarterback recorded an impressive 3,756 yards passing, which broke the record of 3,740 by Brett Hundley.
As predicted by many, Rosen was selected in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. The quarterback signed a four-year contract of $17.84 million with the team and got a whopping $11 million as signing bonus.

He was born into a religious family headed by his Jewish father, Charles Rosen, and his Quaker mother Liz Lippincott. Although his mother is a Quaker, Rosen, who has had his Bar Mitzvah upholds the values of the Jewish tradition. However, he attended Catholic mass sometimes while in high school. Rosen’s father is a medical doctor who majored as an orthopaedic spine surgeon.
The American footballer could have gotten his sports traits from his mother who was a captain for the Princeton Tigers Omen Lacrosse team. We’re not leaving out his father who used to be an ice dancer. His parents divorced in 2012 but despite their separation, Rosen is still close to both parents. He has two sisters; Beatrice, his older sister, and Lydia his younger sister – both athletes.

Rosen’s girlfriend is from Los Angeles and plays for the Bruins’ women volleyball team. The two have been dating since the quarterback’s UCLA days. Reports have it that the couple started dating in 2013 and that they knew each other before Rosen got into UCLA.
