On January 17, 1987, she was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. Taylor attended Barry University and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast communications. Taylor joined FOX Sports in March 2016, pinch-hitting in a variety of FS1 roles, including filling in for Kristine Leahy on The Herd with Colin Cowherd. She was named as the moderator for Fox Sports 1’s upcoming sports discussion show Skip and Shannon: Undisputed with commentators Skip Bayless and former NFL tight end and former CBS sports reporter Shannon Sharpe on August 15, 2016.
She also hosts the Facebook Live show The Hang and her podcast “Maybe I’m Crazy.” In 2018, Fox announced that Taylor would transition from Undisputed to The Herd with Colin Cowherd, which would stream on FS1 and Fox Sports Radio beginning June 18. Taylor was named as the anchor of her own Saturday show, The Joy Taylor Show, on Fox Sports Radio on September 9, 2021.
