Julius Randle played just one season of college basketball, but guess what? That was all he needed to shoot himself up as the 7th overall pick in the first round of the 2014 National Basketball Association (NBA) Draft. Since his drafting and following his first professional season in the NBA, the young man has shown just how versatile and creative he can be with the ball on the court.

Julius Randle’s Biography
Formally, Julius Deion Randle, he was born on November 29, 1994, in Dallas, Texas by a black American woman named Carolyn Kyles. There is no information about his dad and it is probable that he was raised by a single mom and had a normal childhood as much as circumstances would permit.
For high school, Julius Randle was enrolled at Prestonwood Christian Academy where he was phenomenal at playing basketball. The kid won the Under Armour Elite 24 Dunk Contest in August 2012, was regarded as a top 5 player in his 2013 class, and considered a five-star recruit by Rivals.com. Randle then committed himself to play basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats of the University of Kentucky.
In college, Julius got off to a good start in the single season he played college football helping his team reach the national championship game and ending his 2013-14 season with 24 double-doubles which became the highest double-doubles for any player in college history. The lad averaged 15.0 points, 10.4 rebounds with 1.4 assists in 30.8 minutes per game from 40 games played. He then decided to forgo his remaining three years of college and instead enter the 2014 NBA Draft.
The Los Angeles Lakers grabbed Julius Randle in the first round as the seventh overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. They put him forward for his first NBA game in their season opener against the Houston Rockets on October 28, 2014. He, however, lasted only 14 minutes on the court before he broke his right tibia which saw him off for the rest of the season.
Julius had a surgery and made a full recovery afterward. He then got back to the NBA for the 2015-2016 season in which he put in an impressive performance throughout the season. The Power forward/Center started 60 games of the 81 he played recording .429 field goal percentage, his career high .278 3-point field goal percentage as of that time, 10.2 rebounds per game and 11.3 points per game.
Coming into the 2016-17 season, Julius was selected in the USA Men’s Basketball Team ahead of the 2016 Summer Olympics to lay credence to just how good he was. The season ended with him finding playing time in 74 games of which he started 73, with an improved .488 field goal percentage, 3-point field goal percentage of .270, 8.6, rebounds per game and a 13.2 points per game. In his final season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Julius Randle played 82 games which he started 42, a career-high .558 of field goal percentage, .222 3-point field goal percentage, 8.0 rebounds per game and another career high 16.1 points per game.
At the end of his last season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Julius Randle committed himself to an $18 million worth two-year contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. He is expected to continue his exploits in the NBA with his new team and even do better.

He is married to Kendra Shaw; the only woman he has been associated with. They met while the basketballer was playing for the University of Kentucky and things went on smoothly between them.
The two began dating afterward in a premarital relationship which lasted for 3 years. On June 20, 2016, while vacationing in Greece, Kendal popped the question every lady would love to hear from their beau. Her response led to their August 3, 2017 wedding in California, cementing their years of knowing each other till death do them part.
Prior to their marriage, however, they had a son; their first child named Kyden on December 23, 2016. The marriage between the two young couple has been going on smoothly and we do hope there will be no cog in the wheel of their nuptial progress.

Recall that Randle made the headlines sometime in May 2017 when he posted insane pictures of his three weeks intensive workout. He had a well-shredded stomach with visible six packs and well-ripped arms. By August that same year, he was reported to have cut down his body fat down to 6%.
