Kaia Jordan Gerber was born in Los Angeles, California, United States of America, on the 3rd of September 2001. She has a father, Rande Gerber, who has a mixture of Jewish and Russian ancestry while her mother, has a mixture of Scottish, German, Irish, Danish and English ancestry. Though both of her parents worked as models when they were much younger, her father has since quit modelling and has gone on to become an established entrepreneur and the founder of Gerber Group and Midnight Oil. He also owns lounges, bars and restaurants in choice locations of the world. one of his tequila brands named, Gerber Spirits, which was launched in 2014 was a collaborative effort between him and famous actor, .
She also has an only brother named, Presley Gerber who is also a model. More information about Kaia Gerber’s childhood including the schools she attended while growing up are largely unknown. Modelling Career
Due to the environment, she was born into, she instinctively developed a passion for the runway. More so, apart from her family connections in the modelling and fashion industry, Kaia Gerber always had the looks of a model right from childhood which made it easy for her to get deals. To this effect, she landed her very first gig as a model when she was just ten years of age. In this opportunity, she got the chance to model for the Versace Junior line called, “Young Versace.”
Soon enough, she landed other deals with popular brands including; Pop Magazine, Teen Vogue and Vogue. Fortunately for her, she had the opportunity to star in her very first movie in 2016. The name of the movie is, Sister Cities, and she got the role when she was just fifteen years old. The following year, she landed a catwalk gig with Raf Simons’ Calvin Klein Collection, marking her debut as a runway model. Other fashion houses came calling including; Alexander Wang, Coach, Fendi, Moschino, Burberry, Prada, Chanel and Marc Jacobs.
In 2018, during the Spring Fashion Week, Kaia and her mother, Cindy Crawford walked for Versace on the same runway. The same year, she, alongside Sofia Mechetner was part of the Marc Jacobs led campaign for the Daisy Fragrance. She then collaborated with renowned designer, Karl Lagerfeld to create her first clothing line known as; KarlxKaia.

Kaia’s Gerber’s mother, Cynthia Ann Crawford was born in Dekalb Illinois, on the 20th of February 1966. She heavily influenced her daughter’s career in modelling as she is also an internationally recognized model, actress and spokesperson. Unlike her husband, Rande Gerber who left the modelling world quite early, she stayed and achieved a whole lot of success which also led her to be featured in a good number of movies and television series. In the year 1988, photographer, Herb Ritts, had a session with her where she posed nude for the popular Playboy Magazine.
Due to the rave reviews and high sales recorded for the issue, she posed nude a second time for the tabloid in a photo session taken by the same photographer. After quitting modelling in 2000, she has since established herself as a bankable celebrity endorser who has been used to endorse varieties of high profile projects.
