The journalist was born and named Kate Silverton on the 4th of August 1970 to Terry Silverton and his wife Patricia Silverton. Her father worked as a cab driver who turned into a professional hypnotherapist. She grew up along with her two sisters named Amy and Claire Silverton. While she was growing up, Kate schooled at West Hatch High School situated in Chigwell, Essex. She was so active in athletics and was a swimming champion during her junior year. In addition to that, she also received the Queen’s Guide Award for being a member of the Girls Guide.
Upon graduation, Kate Silverton enrolled at Durham University where she got a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Joining the BBC Network in 2005, Kate Silverton started working as a presenter on the BBC News 24 as well as a regular presenter BBC Breakfast show.
