Perhaps Katie Price gave birth to five children because she didn’t want her kids to go through the loneliness of being an only child; something she is all too familiar with. Katie is the only child of Ray Infield and Amy Infield born Katrina Amy Alexandra Alexis Infield on 22 May 1978. For the first decade of her life, she lived as an only child until her mother remarried a man named Paul Price after her father left the family when she was four years old. Her mother’s second marriage sandwiched her between a half-brother and a half-sister. She was raised Jewish.
For her education, amidst the family troubles and the mental stress of an absentee father, Katie Price excelled in school, particularly sports. At Blatchington Mill School, Price became a local star for Sussex competing in regional competitions. As a child, she also fell in love with horses and horse riding.
Modeling Career
Famous for modeling, she began life as a model when she was a child model for a clothing line at the young age of 13. Although her initial modeling jobs were passion projects and opportunistic gigs, she was encouraged to pursue the career as a professional at the behest of a friend. After a couple photographs were sent to a modeling agency in London, Katie appeared in her first national publication in 1996, in Page 3, British newspaper The Sun’s full-page topless model spread. Since then, she has worked for several fashion and model publications, including Vogue, Esquire, Nuts, Maxim.
Katie has also not shied away from nudity and to better enhance her body to look good for when she goes topless, she underwent a surgery to enhance her breasts. This worked really well to her advantage. While she still continues to model till today, Katie has had her breasts reduced.
Acting Career
Besides her work as a model, Kate Price has made several cameos in British television dramas such as Dream Team, and Top Gear. As a popular face in British society, Katie has featured in several television reality shows, mostly based on her life. Perhaps as a way to separate her public persona from her real life, Katie Price went under the pseudonym, Jordan. Several of her reality TV shows were released under her pseudonym such as When Jordan Met Peter, Jordan & Peter: Laid Bare. Her other reality television appearances include British Celebrity Reality Competition – I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here. She has also been the subject of four documentaries made by Richard Macer.
More than just an ample bosom and a pretty face, Price is also an established personality in the writing industry. She has 17 books to her name – six autobiographies and 11 Novels. Katie has sold over 3 million copies of her works and was named among the top 100 best selling authors of the first decade of the new millennium. The model was a column writer for OK! Magazine until 2009 and has been a column writer for The Sun newspaper since 2012.
Katie is also a fashion designer. Inspired by her love for horses and horse riding, she launched her Equestrian clothing line “KP Equestrian” in 2008. She made a splash in the music industry in 2005 and finished as a runner-up in a selection contest to pick United Kingdom’s representative in the Eurovision Song Contest.
