Kurt Angle is an American actor and wrestler. He currently works for the professional wrestling body – WWE, where he is not only a wrestler but also the on-screen general manager. Kurt Angle is definitely one man who proves that there is more to a man than meets the eye. The wrestler competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics where he won a gold medal in freestyle wrestling.
While an amateur wrestler, he became one of only four people to complete the ‘Grand Slam’ in Amateur wrestling by winning the NCAA championships, the Junior Nationals, The Olympics and the World Championships,
In 2006, he was named the greatest shoot wrestler of all time. He has also been ranked one of the top 15 college wrestlers of all time, having wrestled while at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. For his accomplishments as an amateur wrestler, in 2016 he was inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame.
In 1996, Kurt Angle made his first appearance at a professional wrestling event. Shortly after, in 1998, he signed with WWF (World Wrestling Federation) which is now the WWE. He has since gone on to become one of the greatest wrestlers in WWE history. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on the 31st of March, 2017. He is also the only professional wrestler in history to have won the WCW Championship, the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, WWE’s World Heavyweight Championship, and the WWE Championship.

Kurt Steven Angle was born 9th December of 1968 in Mt. Lebanon Township, Pennsylvania, to David and Jackie Angle. It is a little surprising to know that before he became a wrestler, he attended the Clarion University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with a degree in Education in 1993.
He had a sister Le’Anne who passed on in 2003. He also has four older brothers as well. His father – David Angle – was a crane worker who unfortunately passed away when the wrestler was only sixteen. David was killed in a construction accident. Kurt greatly admired his father and as such he dedicated his wrestling career and his autobiography to his father.
Kurt was lucky enough to find another paternal figure in his wrestling coach – David Schultz. However, unfortunately, David, an Olympic medal-winning wrestler, was murdered by John Eleuthère du Pont, in January 1996. The death of David Schultz was sensational enough when it occurred but then in 2016, there was a movie made about the incident and all that led up to it. The movie, Foxcatcher, starred Steve Carrell, and Mark Ruffalo in the role of David Schultz.
in 2015, Kurt lost his mother, Jackie Angle, after a long fight with cancer. He identifies as a Christian and he is also a Republican. During the 2016 Republican Party presidential primaries, he supported – although Rubio was ultimately unsuccessful in his run with winning the primaries.
Angle is also a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers (the football team) and the Pittsburgh Penguins (the ice hockey team). Besides the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburg Penguins, he also supports Rangers F.C., a Scottish football club. In 2015, when he lost feeling in his extremities, he had to go through an emergency surgery to drain the fluid buildup on his spinal cord. Prior to that, he underwent surgery to remove a benign tumour which was located in his neck
What many do not realise is that Kurt Angle is not just a wrestler but he is also an author having released his book It’s True, It’s True, on the 18th of September, 2001.
Kurt Angle: Wife, Son, Daughter, Brother, Family
On the 19th of December, 1998, Kurt Angle got married to Karen Smedley, a professional wrestling valet. Together, they have two children – a daughter who was born on the 2nd of December 2002, Kyra Angle; and a son who was born on the 26th of October 2006 – Kody Angle. Unfortunately, the two got divorced in September 2008.
By 2010, the wrestler had moved on with his love life and was engaged to . The couple then welcomed a daughter together – Giuliana Marie Angle, who was born on the 22nd of January 2011. Kurt and Giovanna eventually got married on the 20th of July, 2012. They later had another daughter – Sophia Lane Angle – on the 31st of December, 2012. Their third child – another daughter, Nikoletta Sky Angle – was born on the 5th of November, 2016.
He has four older brothers, but the most notable of his siblings is Eric Angle who was also a professional wrestler.
