Leslie Marshall is a broadcast journalist, political commentator and columnist who has been blazing trails since the beginning of her career. She is a self-described progressive, liberal, Democrat and also a feminist. This American native started out as a radio talk show host several decades ago and has delved into other aspects of the media industry in the course of her career. In 1992, she made history as the youngest woman to host a syndicated radio talk show. She was born in Boston Massachusetts on October 2nd in the year 1976. Her mother is of the Christian faith while her father is Jewish. Information about her early education and high school are not readily available. For her college education, she attended Northeastern University in Boston where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communications. She also bagged a Masters degree in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College, also in Boston.

Leslie Marshall began her career as a broadcast journalist in her home city of Boston, working as a news reporter for a radio station. Afterwards, she relocated to Miami, Florida, where she worked in radio as well as television. She served in different capacities; as the traffic, weather and news reporter and also as a disc jockey. While hosting a particularly exceptional episode of a midnight music program on radio, Marshall caught the attention of a program director at a talk radio station in the same town who eventually called into the show. Consequently, she got hired by WNWS Miami where she began her career as a radio talk show host and she served in this capacity for about three years.
Marshall later had brief stints working at several radio stations including WJNO in West Palm Beach, WTMJ in Milwaukee and WWWE in Cleveland. Her next job was at WGR in Buffalo, New York and after that, she worked at KPRC-TV in Houston, Texas. She recorded excellent ratings on both WGR and KPRC which earned her the attention of major radio networks.
Leslie Marshall became nationally syndicated in 1992 when she replaced Tom Snyder on the Daynet/ABC Satellite Radio Network. Her program was broadcast on more than 200 stations across the US and it lasted for up to 3 years. After the network disbanded in 1995, she moved on to Chicago’s WLS-FM where she served as the host of the afternoon drive talk show. Her next job was on KGO radio in San Francisco after which she got hired by KHTK/Hot Talk in Sacramento where she anchored a midday show. Also in San Francisco, she anchored a television show “Bay Talk” on KRON T.V., an NBC-affiliated station.
Two years after she ended her first stint with the station, Marshall got rehired by WLS-FM Chicago. Also in Chicago, she co-anchored a television show “Beyond the Beltway” on WGR-TV. She eventually moved to Los Angeles after spending about 2 years in Chicago. She hosted talk shows on various radio stations in LA, including KFI, KLSX, KABC and KLAC. When KLAC changed the format from talk station to music station, Leslie Marshall moved on to WWKB in Buffalo, New York. There, she began hosting her own show “The Leslie Marshall Show” which airs every weeknight. WWKB broadcasts across the northeastern United States and Canada, however, Marshall’s show became nationally syndicated one year after it began airing.
Beyond successfully headlining her own show on WWKB, Leslie Marshall is also a regular political contributor on Fox News programs such as The O’Reilly Factor and Your World with Neil Cavuto. She equally contributes to Kudlow & Company on CNBC and Scarborough Country on MSNBC. The versatile political commentator equally writes a column on ‘Huff Post’.

Leslie Marshall has been married since October 1996. Her husband is of the Muslim faith and he is an orthopaedic surgeon by profession. The couple has 2 children together, a son and a daughter. They adopted their first child in Pakistan and welcomed their second child after 13 IVF cycles.
