Liz Cho is an American journalist best known as the anchor of the weekday 4 and 6 p.m. editions of Eyewitness News at New York’s WABC-TV. Beginning her journalism career as an editor at New England Cable News in Newton, Massachusetts, Cho rose to the mainstream in 2003 when she landed her WABC-TV job. That year, she was named on People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” with Halle Berry gracing the covers.

Her mom Jewish-American Donna Cho (née Weltman) is a nurse. Liz has one brother named Andrew. Despite both parents involved in the medical field, Cho chose a different career path. After obtaining her degree in journalism and history from the Boston University, she began practicing, starting out as an editor at New England Cable News in Newton, Massachusetts.
Cho then worked at Miami’s WPLG. She then moved to Chicago where she worked as a correspondent for ABC NewsOne. At ABC, Cho rapidly rose up the ranks, anchoring World News Now and serving as a correspondent for Good Morning America. She joined WABC-TV in 2003 as an anchor on Eyewitness News.

Liz Cho has been married twice in her lifetime. Her first marriage was in 2008 to Evan Gottlieb. About three years after their marriage, the couple bought a $2.2 million, nine-bedroom, four-bathroom mansion in Westchester. However, they never got to live in it for long as things soon turned sour between them.
About a year after living in the mansion, the couple was sued by a certain Yonkers contractor, Cathal Maguire who claimed that they stiffed him for $100,875 of the renovation work he did. However, the couple countered the contractor’s claim saying that he overcharged them with bills racking north of $430,000 and provided a substandard service.
Following the legal battle over the house, the in March 2012 with Cho moving out of their home. They each kept mum about their split, thus sparking numerous speculations including infidelity that Cho was cheating with then-NBC Sports anchor Josh Elliot.
However, some sources defended the news anchor saying that her relationship with Elliot began after she had separated from Evan Gottlieb.
Before tying the knot with Gottlieb, the couple welcomed a daughter Louisa Simone Gottlieb on May 17, 2007. She was the only issue of their marriage.
A couple of years after her split from Evan, Cho was ready to give marriage a second try as she said yes to fellow journalist Josh Elliott.
They got married on July 11, 2015, in an intimate garden wedding held in Villa Sevillano private estate in Montecito, California. Attended by 70 guests, the wedding was officiated by Weather Channel’s Sam Champion who had worked with Elliot during his time at Good Morning America.
Elliot had lost his mother three weeks before their big day, but the couple managed to to have a great time on their big day.
Like Cho, it was Elliot’s second marriage. He was previously married to Priya Narang and they had a daughter named Sarina. The couple’s daughters from their respective first marriages both featured on their big day as maids of honor, reported.
