Mark Reynolds is a baseball player who has become famous playing in the Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Washington Nationals as a third baseman and first baseman. Having made his debut in the MLB in 2007 for the Arizona Diamondbacks, he has gone on to play for many other teams before settling with the Nationals.

MLB star Mark Andrew Reynolds was born on August 3, 1983, in Pikeville, Kentucky. When he was still a child, his family decided to move to Virginia and it was there that he was brought up. He began playing baseball from childhood.
For his education, he attended the First Colonial High School and graduated in 2001. Next, he moved to the University of Virginia where he spent three years before he was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks at the 2004 MLB draft.
Although during his high school days he also played other sports including basketball and golf, it was for baseball that he became popular. While playing for the Cavaliers baseball team during his college days, he made 35 career home runs which has turned out to be the second all-time in the history of the team.
Career and Stats
After making the 2004 draft, he began his professional career in the minor league where he played for teams such as Yakima Bears in the Northwest League, South Bend Silver in the Midwest League as well as for the Lancaster JetHawks in the California League. The young player went on to play for the Tennessee Smokies in the Southern League before leaving for the major league.
His debut for the Diamondbacks was in a game against the Colorado Rockies in 2007. He continued for the team until 2010 when he got a contract extension of $14.5 million that was supposed to keep him with the team for the next 3 years, but then he was traded to the Baltimore Orioles in 2011.
He remained with the Orioles for 2011 and 2012 seasons during which he became the fastest position player to record up to 1000 strikeouts in the history of the major league. He got a year’s deal with the Cleveland Indians by the end of 2012, and then he moved to New York Yankees after the contract was out. He would find himself with the Milwaukee Brewers in the next year and then St. Louis Cardinals will come for him with another one-year contract and after that, he moved to Colorado Rockies. After the contract ran out, he remained without a deal until he was signed by the Washington Nationals.
Looking at his general stats for the 12 years he has spent in the league, Mark Reynolds has played 1542 games and made 5913 plate appearances. He has 5153 at-bats, 765 Runs, and 1227 hits.
