The actor’s full name is Mark Thomas Valley but he is more popularly known as Mark Valley. He was born just a day before Christmas (24th December) in the year 1964. Mark’s birthplace is Ogdensburg, New York, the U.S which makes him an American national, while his ethnicity is reportedly a mix of French, Canadian, and Irish.
With regards to his family members, the actor was born to Michael Valley (father) and Martha Valley (mother) while his siblings are Jennifer Valley, Lynne Valley, and Marnie Valley. Yeah, they are all ladies.
Mark Valley’s first job was as a soldier. He graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and engineering from the United States Military Academy. Afterward, he served in Berlin and also in the Gulf war.
During his time in the military, Mark played rugby with The Berlin Yanks Rugby Football Club; a U.S military rugby team. There are no publicly available records on how he transitioned from military life to that of a civilian. In the absence of this, however, we know how his acting career kicked off.

Mark Valley began his acting career on the big screen with his first acting role in The Innocent (1993) where he played the character of a tunnel technician. After this work, he landed other film roles in projects like Breast Men (1997), Some Girl, and The Siege both in 1998.
Mark began the new millennium with roles in films like The Next Best Thing, and Jericho (both in 2000) and from that point till now, he has played various demanding characters in other films like Big Time, Live!, Shrek the Third (voice role as Cyclops), Stolen, Zero Dark Thirty, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns: Part 2, Lost Boy, and Gun Shy.
On television, Mark Valley has had a lot more projects to his name. In the 90s, he started off with Another World, Vanishing Son IV, Days of Our Lives, George Wallace, and Brimstone. Mark got better in the 2000s which became an era he recorded his greatest number of works so far. Mark Valley was previously a married man. He got married in December 2008 to his Fringe co-star, Anna Torv. However, barely one year into the marriage, the couple went their separate ways after a divorce.
