At quite a very young age, Scott Foley already knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life; which was acting. The tall hunk of a man was born Scott Kellerman Foley on the 15th of July 1972 in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born to an international banker named Hugh Foley (his father) and Connie Foley (his mother). Scott grew up with his two younger male siblings, one of which is named Sean Foley. Due to the nature of Scott’s father’s job, his family spent some years in Japan, as well as in Australia. Scott was quite young when he lived in Japan and to this effect, he speaks fluent Japanese. The Foley family eventually returned to the US and settled in St. Louis, Missouri. However, few months after they did, Connie died of ovarian cancer. Scott was about 15 years old when the unfortunate death of his mother took place and was greatly traumatized by it.
Furthermore, for an unknown reason, this tragic event put a strain on Scott’s relationship with his father. However, some sources believe Scott somewhat blamed his father’s persistent traveling and resultant absence for the deterioration of his mother’s health. Foley has been active in Hollywood since 1995 and has continued to wax strong. He gained prominence when he starred as Noel Crane on J. J. Abrams’ Felicity (1998-2002). Scott would go on to be nominated for a Teen Choice Award in the Choice Movie Villain category. His nomination was for his role in the movie, Scream 3.
He played the role of Henry Burton in 15 episodes of Shonda Rhimes’ Grey’s Anatomy (2010-2012). Scott Foley also played the character of Captain Jake Ballard in Scandal (2013-2018). He was part of the production of the American sitcom A.U.S.A in 2003; on which he featured as an actor.
Foley has also starred in 2 Broadway productions and is currently set to star as the lead character in ABC’s upcoming drama series titled Whiskey Cavalier. Though the series was billed to kick off sometime in 2018, it will only hit the public screens in 2019. As stated earlier, Foley is also a director. In 2013, he wrote and directed an American black comedy film titled Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife.
