Born into a family blessed with a talent for music, Tanya Haden is a part of the Hayden triplets, each of whom plays musical instruments and are exceptional vocalists.
Biography
Tanya Haden who was born on the 11th of October 1971 is multi-talented and has many facets to her personality. She is an American singer, artist and a cellist. She was born in the city that never sleeps – New York. As almost every American singer, she started out her career as a member of various bands, which includes the famous band of the 90’s “let’s go sailing” and her creative streak extended to when she created the imaginary bear puppet show.
She wasn’t just a drop out of school singer but she followed her passion for music and the creative arts by going to college to hone and improve her talents and skills. She was awarded an MFA degree from the Institute of the Arts, where her major was Experimental Animation.
After College, she did focus primarily on her work in visual arts as she performed at various exhibition shows which included one at the Las Cienegas projects in 2010. She made further progress in 2015 when she was chosen by Rosamund Felsen Gallery where she had a single artist exhibition show for her drawings.
Her cello playing skills were tested when she played extensively in the LA area and also when she became an additional member of the band Silversun Pickups. She also recorded with a Los Angeles indie-folk band by the name Seawolf and also followed that up by playing the Cello for a Los Angeles based rock band The Warlocks album – Surgery which made its debut in 2005. In February 2014, she teamed up with her sisters to release their first album on the 4th of the very same month, the record was produced by Ry Cooder and went on to showcase the sisters in a unique light by featuring them on their different instruments.

It is also important to point out that the album is being released on Third Man Records which was a record label founded by famous musician and singer Jack White. She has an estimated net worth of around $2 million; a large chunk of it came when she starred for both Kung Fu Panda and the Muppet.

Tanya Haden was born to jazz bassist Charlie Haden. Her mother’s name is Ellen Haden. She is a part of the Haden Triplets: made up of two other sisters named Rachel and Petra Haden and the trio are musical icons who perform together. For the last two decades, they provided us with vocals and instrumentation, whether as individuals or as a group.

She also has another sibling – a brother who is also a guitarist, by name Josh Haden. Her paternal grandfather was Carl Haden and Virginia Haden is her grandmother. The Haden family is hugely musically inclined, and its fair to say this trait comes from their father. While Tanya played the cello, her sisters Rachel played the bass and Petra played the violin. Her brother Josh as earlier mentioned is a singer and a bassist and in addition to that, he is a member of a band in Spain.
Haden married her long-term sweetheart Jack Black in Big Sur, California. They tied the knot on March 14, 2006. Jack is an Actor, comedian and musician. They had their first child: a boy named Samuel Jason Black, born on 10th of June 2006 at a Medical Centre in Los Angeles. The couple met each other in high school at Crossroads school down in Santa Monica. Strangely enough, even though they had met while they were still teenagers, they only began dating in 2005. The couple in 2008, decided to have another child and in January 2008, Tanya Haden’s husband Jack Black announced that his wife was pregnant and on the 23rd of May, 2008, she gave birth to their second child, a son named Thomas David Black.
