The game of volleyball does not carry the same glory, appeal, or benefits as basketball or football. However, players like Taylor Agost have certainly changed the minds of many with her tantalizing performances on the court and on the beach.

This blondie has always known what she wanted to do and that’s play volleyball at the highest level. Consequently, she has pushed herself relentlessly. Form her glorious high school and University career, to playing the game professionally; she is exactly where she deserves to be. The 6 feet 2 inches tall player started her professional career with the Bundesliga team, Ladies in Black Aachen.

Taylor Agost Bio

Agost was born in Happy Valley, Clackamas County, Oregon, on May 31, 1996. Taylor Agost didn’t travel a lot and loved growing up in her native town. This is where she did her elementary and high school education, although nothing is known about the former.

She had her high school education at Clackamas High School. It was during her time there that she fell in love with volleyball and committed herself to the game. Her high school career was a very impressive one. By the time she left, she had been named a Volleyball Senior Ace and came in at No.17 on the list. She was also part of a Three Rivers League Championship winning team in her junior and senior years. For the 6A OSAA Tournament, her team also grabbed third and fourth positions in her junior and final seasons respectively.

After high school and still refusing to leave her home state, Taylor Agost gained admission into the University of Oregon in 2014. Here, she joined the women’s volleyball Ducks team in her first year.

Her freshman season started off well and saw Agost make 17 appearances. However, she started just 4 of those as her season was hampered by injuries. Her sophomore season was much better. She played in a total of 20 games and made 12 starts. At the end of the season, she had averaged a record of 2.69 kills per set, ranking her third on the team.

Taylor would go on to get honorable mentions from the AVCA All-Region and the All-Pac-12 after she had been involved in 110 out of a possible 117 sets. Her junior season saw her rank 2nd on the Ducks team and finish in 8th position in the Pac-12 with a hitting percentage of .327.

Taylor Agost bowed out of her collegiate career on a high note in 2017, thanks to her terrific senior season. She was again selected as an All-Pac-12 and AVCA All-American honorable mention. She also made the PrepVolleyball Second-team All-American team.

Her performances in college had grabbed the interest of many teams both at home and internationally. So in June 2018, the Ladies in Black Aachen came calling. She penned her first professional contract with the Bundesliga Team of the PTSV Aachen. She is already an integral part of the team. In their 2018/2019 season, Taylor Agost contributed to her team effort as they got as far as the semifinals in both the DVV Cup and the league playoffs. They also were part of the Challenge Cup.

The athlete loves to post her life experiences and journey on social media for all her fans to see. Her social media of choice is Instagram, although she also maintains a presence on Twitter and Facebook.

Her family Life

Taylor’s parents are Brett Agost and Dalene Agost. It is not yet known what they do for a living. Taylor’s family is really close-knit. She often posts photos of her parents and siblings on her social media.

Her family is very supportive of the path she has chosen. During an interview in Germany, Taylor mentioned how her family members were ready to stay awake to watch her play a game as early as 3 am.

Whenever she is on vacation, the athlete likes to go on adventures with her family, an experience she never forgets to document on her Instagram.
