On getting to elementary school, he began his training in kickboxing and within a short time, he had become proficient with over 100 bouts.

This, in turn, brought Tenshin offers at the age of twelve from fight promoters such as Akihiko Honda of Teiken Promotions Inc. When he was 14 years old in his junior year as a high school student, he received promotion offer from Teiken Promotions, who wanted to sign him to a huge contract which included a monetary bonus of more than $100,000. However, due to his love for kickboxing, the deal was turned down by Tenshin.

Spotting his massive potential as a fighter, Yūichi Kasai, one of the Gym trainers at Teiken, famous for his work which produced world champions such as Toshiaki Nishioka and Takashi Miura, became his part-time boxing coach. By the time Tenshin was eighteen years of age and turned professional, he had already gotten a 99-5 amateur record in kickboxing.

Still a high school student, Tenshin Nasukawa defeated Channel 7 champion and multiple Bangkok Lumpinee, Wanchalong PK Senchaigym. He achieved this with a spinning back kick which ended up knocking Wanchalong out. Interestingly, this was Tenshin’s very first Muay Thai fight and win. Personal Life – Girlfriend

Different from what is quite common among professional fighters in Europe and America, entering into a relationship early in a man’s life is not commonplace in Japan especially one who is seeking to become a formidable fighter. It is believed that starting off romantic relationships early in one’s career as a fighter of any category might cause distractions thus most fighters in Japan hold off on it until much later especially when they are ready for marriage. Interestingly, this is also the case with Tenshin Nasukawa as he hasn’t revealed that he is in any romantic relationship with anyone yet.
