Usher’s Love Life; Is He Single Or Married With Kids?

Though he has been in the public eye for quite sometime, we wouldn’t be lying if we assumed that there are some of you who have no idea whether the star is single or taken. In fact most people do not even know the answer to the question, is Usher married? As the years have gone by, the star has become a little more cryptic about his relationships.

Much like ‘Big Brother’, you cannot hide from the media, so it’s time for the big reveal. Let’s find out once and for all if Usher is married.

Is Usher Married?

The answer to that question is big YES, not only is the star married right now, but he is onto wife number 2. His first wife was none other than Tameka Foster, but these days he is shacking up with boss lady Grace Miguel. Let’s check out how it all went down.

Usher’s Wife; Tameka Foster

Back in 2007 (August 2, 2007), Usher married Tameka Foster and their relationship turned out to be a back lash of mixing business with pleasure. In November 2005, Usher took a bold step and began dating his personal stylist, Tameka Foster. The two had been working well together for several years and saw that as an avenue to take their relationship to the next level.

When Usher married Tameka, he did not only accept her, but he also became the step father to her three sons from her previous relationships, soon after the couple proceeded to have two of their own. Sometime in 2008, rumors started flying around that the couple had hit a rough patch and were headed for the rocks.

Usher then appeared on MTV’s TRL to address the issue, here is what he said, ‘ I love my wife very, very much. There was a little rumor earlier this week about us separating. It ain’t true. We in love. Get outta there. Matter of fact, I’m tired of people continuing to talk so much trash about me, know what I’m saying?’

It turns out that even Usher did not know ‘what he was saying’, because roughly a year after that,  he filed for divorce from Tameka. Soon after, the two of them engaged in a very public and borderline gruesome battle for custody of the two children they shared. The battle dragged on and on, but finally, after three years, Usher won primary custody of his boys.

No doubt after all that stress, Usher thought he was done with the marriage business. He had a tough time following the untimely death of his 11-year-old step-son, Kile Glover in 2012, and his eldest son’s Usher V’s hospital scare in 2013.

In the midst of all that, Usher opened his heart to someone who had stood with him through it all, his manager, Grace Miguel. We do not want to point out that once again, the star is mixing business with pleasure, so we won’t. Their union was a bit more on the down low than his previous one, in 2015 Usher married Grace while on vacation in Cuba.

The two seem to be getting along just fine despite the 8 year difference, with Grace being older, Usher even gushed about her in an interview.

He said, ‘ I have an incredible partner and manager. She has helped me through some of the hardest times in my life and my career. She’s someone who’s been able to support and understand all of who I am. Not just as a dancer or as a performer or as a singer, but as a humanitarian and a businessman and as a person.’

Usher’s Kids

The star is a proud father of two sons, Usher Raymond V (9 years old) and Naviyd Raymond (8 years old) The two of them are products of his union with his first wife, Tameka Foster. It is evident that the star utterly loves his sons and is proud to be their dad, as we all know, the star is ever so happy to gush about the people he loves and his sons are no exceptions.

So are the boys going to follow in the daddy’s footsteps. Judging by how they are now, the star believes that his eldest is more inclined to sports than show biz but little Naviyd has already started showing signs of a good show man, ‘He’s super dramatic’, the star explained.
