Though Wayne Gallman is relatively new in the National Football League (NFL), his past achievements in high school and college are already speaking volumes and his fans are super excited about his career as a footballer.

Before metamorphosing into a bankable NFL prospect, Gallman was considered one of the luckiest kids in his college football as a result of the helping hand his parents gave him and the way he was raised. Wayne is the quiet type and had parents who were very supportive of his career from day one. Though his father was a free safety player and currently works as a coach/coordinator of Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) at Middleburg High School in southwest Jacksonville, the footballer has always found time to develop his skills and enhance his genetically-inherited football skills.

Age and Early Life

The parents of the New York Giant running back player welcomed him into the world on October 1, 1994, in Loganville, Georgia, in the United States. He was born to Felecia Sheard (mother) and Wayne Gallman Sr. (father). It is not known if the footballer has any sibling as information about his siblings is not detailed online. Heightline, however, can confirm that Gallman has stepsisters who came from either his mother or father’s second marriage after the two got divorced when Wayne was still a toddler.

He was raised in Loganville along with his stepsisters and later got reconnected with his father who lives in central Florida. Both men eventually spent some years under the roof, where Wayne Gallman Sr., a Battalion Sergeant Major in the Marines, taught his son invaluable lessons about life.

The NFL player owes his high school education to Loganville-based school, Grayson High School, where he played for his school football team along with fellow NFL star Robert Nkemdiche. Gallman later joined Clemson University and was part of the college football team from 2013 to 2016. During his years at Clemson, the NFL player recorded several successes with the time, including scoring his first collegiate rushing touchdown in a game against Boston College on October 18, 2014, defeating the Alabama Crimson Tide football team with his teammates by a score of 35–31 in the College Football Playoff National Championship in 2017, among others.

Following a successful college career in 2016, Wayne decided to waive his senior year in order to pursue a professional career as a footballer in the NFL. He was subsequently selected by the New York Giants as the 140th overall in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. The star, who was picked as the 14th running back in that year’s draft, made his first appearance for his team on October 1, 2017, and also recorded his first NFL touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Gallman ended his rookie season with a receiving touchdown, 34 receptions for 193 receiving yards, and 476 rushing yards.

As of 2017, the Loganville-born player has racked up for him the following outstanding records – Rushing attempts: 111, Receiving yards: 193, Rushing touchdowns: 0, Rushing yards: 476, Receptions: 34, and Receiving touchdowns: 1. He also won the CFP national champion in 2017  and was selected to the second team All-ACC in 2015 and 2016.
