Bio
Although, not so much about his background and personal info is available online, here is a handful of info about his early days that will interest you. Nicky was born December 5, 1988, in Los Angeles, California, as Ross Elliot Bagley.
After graduating from high school in 2005, he headed to California State University Northridge where he pursued a degree in cinematic and television arts. He began acting quite early. In 994, he starred in the film adaptation of The Little Rascals as the beloved and sassy Buckwheat who sang “I got a dollar, I got a dollar, hey, hey, hey, hey.”
Before taking on the character of Nicky in NBC’s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, in 1996, he starred in Babe as the voiceover of the puppy.

At the expiration of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1996, Bagley has appeared in many other films and movies. He starred in 1996 blockbuster hit Independence Day alongside Will Smith. He was cast as Smith’s stepson, Dylan Dubrow Hiller. Unfortunately, Bagley didn’t get the honor of appearing on the Independence Day sequel Independence Day: Resurgence, which came twenty years later. He was replaced with Jessie Usher.
After this time, he disappeared from the spotlight for nearly a decade only to reappear in 1999 in the NBC series Providence which also starred Melina Kanakaredes. He played the voice of a monkey called Hutu in The Wild Thornberrys. After starring in The Wild Thornberrys, he again disappeared until 2005 when he starred in one episode of Judging Amy. Ten years later, Ross reappeared in a poorly received horror movie Gnome Alone.
He is yet to get another role since then but the former child actor has not given up on his dream yet as he is still lingering around the industry, with the hopes of joining another comedy ensemble very soon.
Ross Bagley hopes to one day share the same set with the likes of, and Zach Galifianakis as he has done with Vivica A. Fox, and Will Smith, during his days as a child actor.
When asked in an interview about his role and early stardom on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Bagley said it was a huge blessing to have been part of the show. According to him, the sitcom was, and still is, one of his favorites shows as a child, even way before he was on it. “I remember when it used to come on Monday nights and I would watch it with my babysitter when I was a little tyke so, to be on it was surreal, to say the least,” he said.
Although he is not currently active in the industry, his active years did earn him some nominations as well as Young Artist Awards. The Awards include:
- Best Performance by a Youth Ensemble in a Motion Picture (The Little Rascals)
- Best Performance by an Actor Under Ten in a TV Series for his role in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,
