On the 29th of May, 1959, in London, England, Adrian Paul Hewett was born as the eldest of three boys to his Italian mother and British father. As a child, Paul was said to have been a very good dancer, as he also tried to become a professional soccer player. Between 1976 and 1978, he played the soccer at a semi-professional level for Cray Wanderers in the London Spartan League before later opting to shelve his sporting dreams in order to focus on dancing and choreography.

In 1985, Paul left England for the United States to further pursue a dance and modeling career. While at it, he began taking acting classes with famous acting coaches, Ivana Chubbuck, and Roy London, and was able to appear in series like The Colbys (1986) and Beauty and the Beast (1987) as well as in the Broadway play, Bouncers (1987) and the film Last Rites (1988), which starred Tom Berenger.

In the following year, Adrian Paul, who at this point in time had gained a few plaudits in Hollywood, was able to land a starring role in Roger Corman’s, Masque of the Red Death (1989). Around that same time, he became a series regular in the television series War of the Worlds (1989-1990), as he went on to appear in films like Murder, She Wrote (1992) and Love Potion No. 9 (1992) alongside young, up-and-coming actress,.
