Who is DVSN? Biography
For a long time, Canadian R&B duo DVSN kept their identities unknown in order to let people focus on their music instead of the creators. The pair were introduced to the world in 2015 on OVO Sound Radio, and they have since that time been able to make a name for themselves, both as a group and individually.
DVSN comprises of vocalist Daniel Daley and producer Nineteen85. Even after having achieved a level of fame, not much is known about both men’s early life and education history other than that Nineteen85 was born Anthony Paul Jefferies on July 1, 1985, in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. It is not clear when exactly the pair met each other and began working together, however, it was revealed by both men in an interview with Billboard magazine that they had met through music and were working together for a while before they were able to make their collaboration official and win the hearts of fans across the world.
In September 2015, DVSN put out two songs – “The Line” and “With Me” on Soundcloud. The songs were well received and the pair got a huge boost when “With Me” was played on Apple’s Beats 1 radio during the seventh OVO Sound radio show. This brought them a bigger fan base as they went ahead to release two more songs – “Too Deep” in December 2015 and “Hallucinations” in March 2016, on SoundCloud and the iTunes Store. The second song came just a few days after they officially signed to Drake’s OVO Sound record label.
Having secured a record deal, DVSN announced in March 2016 that they would be releasing their debut album in that same month. The album, which was titled Sept. 5th, was first released exclusively on the iTunes Store and Apple Music on March 27, 2016, before hitting shelves in stores and other online retail outlets on April 1, 2016. More than a year after releasing their debut album, DVSN released their sophomore body of work titled Morning After on October 13, 2017. The album was backed by singles like “Think About Me”, “Don’t Choose”, and “Mood”.
Family
As previously mentioned, nothing is known about the personal lives of both DVSN members, as they pride themselves with keeping things about them a secret and letting the public only know things that concern their music. Following the release of their most recent songs where they used a church choir on multiple occasions, Daley and Nineteen85 revealed that they were both raised in Christian homes and got a lot of morals, ethics, and standards for their parents.
