Mike Faist is an American actor who was born on the 5th of January 1992 in Gahanna, Ohio, the U.S. His ethnicity is Caucasian while his nationality was reported as English. Mike was adopted at birth by parents who own a flourishing real estate business and in addition to this, his mother is also a pilot.
As a kid, Faist recalls watching a lot old MGM films that were mostly on tape. His favorites then were the likes of Singing in the Rain, American in Paris, Star Wars and a couple of others. He was intrigued by the performances of actors and actresses in this early works and was equally imaginative and often had film stories, scenes, and characters in his head where he was always the hero of his imaginative script.
Faist was enrolled at Gahanna Lincoln High School where he studied and graduated from in the year 2009. Before then, he had already begun auditioning for roles in community and children’s theatres in Ohio. Following his graduation then, Mike Faist departed for New York where on arrival, he enrolled at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy where he hoped to hone his theatre/acting skills to perfection. Mike Faist’s acting career formally started with his first theatre credit Nemesis (2011 in Paper Mill Playhouse and 2012-2013 in Nederlander Theatre) as the character Morris Delancey. Following this, Faist went on to record performances in other theatre works like Appropriate (2014 in Pershing Square Signature Center) as Rhys Thurston, A Month in the Country (2015 in the Classic Stage Company) as Aleksei Belyaev. The thespian’s later theatre works are in Dear Evan Hansen as Connor Murphy which showed at the Arena Stage in 2015, Second Stage Theater in 2016 and at the Music Box Theatre in 2016-2018. To his credit, he also played in Days of Rage (2018) which showed at the Second Stage Theater where he portrayed the character, Spence.
Like most other actors and actresses Spence started out in the theatre and later ventured into film and television series. His first recorded film work was in The Unspeakable Act (2012) as Tony, followed by Yellow (2015) as Skip in the short film and in this same year, he also portrayed the character of Gordie Joiner in The Grief of Others (2015). His other film credits include as Benny in Our Time (2016), Ben in I Can I Will I Did (2017), then came his role as a teenage boy in Active Adults 2017 and lastly Lawrence in Wildling (2018).
