Yeo Jin Goo has become one of the trending names in the South Korean movie industry. The youngster has garnered fame through his wonderful performances and exceptional acting skills. Yeo started as a child actor and today he has distinguished himself as one of the fast-rising actors in the South Korean movie industry. He rose to prominence after starring in the 2012 movie titled Moon Embracing the Sun which earned him the Best New Actor Award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards. Some of his other notable movies include Missing You, Hwayi: A Monster Boy, A Frozen Flower, Giant, etc.
Yeo Jin Goo Brief Bio
Yeo Jin Goo first came into this world on the 13th day of August 1997 in Seoul, South Korea. The actor is the eldest child of his parents, he has just one younger sibling with whom he was raised in Seoul. While he was growing up, Yeon developed a keen interest in acting and with the help of his parents; he was able to receive acting lessons. He attended Namgang High School where he graduated in 2016. After he left high school, Yeon further enrolled at the Chung-Ang University where he is currently studying with his major in theatre.
Starting his acting career at the age of eight, Yeo Jin Goo made his first film appearance when he starred in the movie titled Sad Movie in 2005. Interestingly, it was his first audition and the youngster was chosen among 150 candidates to portray Park Hwi-chan in the movie. For his impressive performance, the star was honored with Best Child Actor Award during the SBS Darma Awards.
The following year, Yeo played minor roles in two films including Sa-Kwa and No Mercy for the Rude. He also made his television debut in 2006 while appearing in the series titled I Want to Love and Yeon Gaesomun. After that, he featured in the 2007 film titled Dance of the Dragon where he portrayed the role of Young Kwon Tae-san.
Yeo continued to land bigger roles as he grew older. The young actor portrayed the role of Lee Beom-Soo’s character in the 2010 movie titled Giant. After the movie, the star confessed it was the first time he buried himself in his character and since then he has brought passion whenever he is on set. While appearing in the 2011 drama titled Warrior Baek Dong-soo, Yeo portrayed the young Baek Dong-soo. He equally starred in Deep Rooted Tree in the same year.
Jin Goo earned his breakthrough in 2012 when he portrayed the role of the young crown prince in the drama titled Moon Embracing the Sun. The drama got positive reviews, thus fetching Yeo the Best Young Actor Award. He also won the same award for his next movie titled Missing You in the same year.
Since 2013, the Korean star has been playing lead roles in various movies as well as a television drama. He won the New Actor Award for his brilliant role in the 2013 movie titled Hwayi: A Monster Boy and many more. Some of his other TV series include Potato Star 2013QR3, Orange Marmalade, The Royal Gambler, Circle, and Absolute Boyfriend, etc.
Asides from movies, the young actor have starred in other reality TV shows including I’m Real; Yeo Jingoo in Italy, 4 Wheeled Restaurant, and Giving From Jingoo Oppa.
