First on our list of Adrian Grenier’s movies and TV shows is Teenage Paparazzo. The film tells the story of a thirteen-year-old paparazzo, Austin Visschedyk, who catches the attention and interest of popular Entourage actor (Adrian) in one of his paparazzi hunted evening walks. Intrigued by the boy’s youth and zest for the world of the elite at such a young age, Grenier decides to turn the cameras on the boy.

The story follows Adrian as he interviews the teenage celebrity photographer and follows him on one of his night prowls on the streets of Hollywood, in search of any A-lister whose pictures would fetch him a sizable payday. This journey lets Grenier into the psychology and motivation of the celebrity press.

The 91-minute long documentary was a 2010 Sundance Film Festival selection and earned a well deserved 100 percent approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. It doesn’t get any better than that.

2. Hurricane Streets (1997)

Although Grenier does not play a major role in this coming-of-age drama, its overwhelmingly positive reception qualifies it for our list of Adrian Grenier’s movies and TV shows. In this drama, Brendan Sexton III plays the lead role of Marcus, a troubled teenager born and raised in less than ideal conditions. Unsurprisingly, he is caught up with the wrong crowd. As he and his gang make plans to move up in the world of crime, he meets Melena (Isidra Vega) and soon falls head over heels for her. His newfound love forces him to start pushing for a life with her and away from crime.

Hurricane Streets clinched three awards at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival, making it the first-ever to do so. It also boasts an 88 percent approval rating from Rotten Tomatoes’ critics.

3. The Devil Wears Prada (2006)

In this dramedy, Adrian Grenier plays one of the key supporting characters Nate Cooper, who is the boyfriend to Andrea Sachs, played by . Andrea is a small-town girl, fresh out of college who is lucky to get an internship job in the high-powered world of fashion. The job proves to be a lot more demanding and the waters more treacherous than she ever anticipated, thanks mostly to her boss Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep).

This movie was based on the 2003 novel of the same name by Lauren Weisberger. The Devil Wears Prada was a huge success commercially and otherwise. It grossed over $326 million off a budget of $35 million and received a critic’s approval rating of 75 percent for surpassing the quality of its source material.

4. Trash Fire (2016)

Owing to nightmares and memories of a family tragedy, Owen Roberts (Adrian Grenier) has enough demons from his past to haunt him for the rest of his life. The adverse effects of his nightmares are also spilling over into his relationship with his girlfriend Isabel (Angela Trimbur) and threatening what they have. This forces them to take a journey into the past to make amends. Of course, this journey reveals a lot that makes the movie worth watching.

Although critics did not think that its nihilistic black comedy was for everyone, they did praise the movie for its rugged appeal. They also gave it an approval rating of 71 percent.

5. Entourage (2004 – 2011)

Here’s one of the most impactful works on our list of Adrian Grenier’s movies and television shows. This series premiered in 2004 on HBO and garnered great success over its eight seasons, culminating in 2011. Entourage tells the story of Grenier’s character Vincent Chase as he and his childhood friends traverse the world of Los Angeles’ Hollywood elite, trying to further their budding careers. Grenier also received a slew of nominations for his portrayal of Vincent Chase.

Although the series’ approval slowly dwindled with each season, its overall 66 percent critics approval rating is still worthy of mention and applause.

6. Hart’s War (2002)

When you have names like , , and on a movie’s cast, it automatically amplifies its chances of success. Most of the story takes place in a German prison camp for captured officers. When a murder happens in the camp and Lt. Lincoln Scott (Terrence Howard) is accused of the crime, the prisoners are allowed to conduct their own trial.

In this gripping tale set in World War II, Grenier plays Private Daniel E. Abrams on Hart’s War. Critics praised the movie for its solid casting and acting. However, they pointed out that it was let down by having too many subplots.

7. Cecil B. Demented (2000)

Based loosely on the 1974 kidnapping of , Adrian plays Lyle, a member of a cinema terrorist group that kidnaps A-list actress Honey Whitlock (Melanie Griffith) and forces her to star in their underground film.

Cecil B. Demented received lukewarm reviews with an average approval rating of 53 percent from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. The consensus from critics was that the storyline which has so much potential was badly done by a vastly underwhelming script and direction. Still, the movie has grown on its audience since its release.

8. The Adventures of Sebastian Cole (1998)

Adrian Grenier, playing the titular role of Sebastian Cole is praised for his noteworthy acting and his relationship with his on-screen stepfather Hank Rossi (). The movie follows the story of the dysfunction that erupts in Sebastian’s family after his stepfather Hank announces that he is going in for a sex change operation.

The movie received mixed to negative reviews from the likes of Rotten Tomatoes and elite film critics like Roger Ebert and Joe Leydon. The film aggregator site gave the comedy-drama a poor approval rating of 43 percent.

9. Celebrity (1998)

As we continue to look through the less successful in our list of Adrian Grenier movies, Celebrity fits right in. For one, this was in the early days of his career and the actor played a minor role as part of the entourage of Leonardo DiCaprio’s character, Brandon Darrow.

Celebrity follows the story of a failed writer turned celebrity journalist Lee Simon (Kenneth Branagh) as he navigates the wild side of fame and fortune while questioning his life’s purpose. Even with a legend like at the helm as director and writer, Celebrity could only muster a forgettable approval rating of 41 percent.

10. Anything Else (2003)

Yet another forgettable role for Adrian Grenier, he joins up with the rest of the cast in a minor role as Ray Polito. In Anything Else, an aspiring writer, Jerry Falk (Jason Biggs) tries to make sense of his stagnated career when he falls in love with wild, adventurous and insecure Amanda Chase (). His subsequent affair with her costs him his relationship with his girlfriend. The story follows his catastrophic love life with Amanda and how it nearly ruins him even further.

Starring Woody Allen, , and a few other notable names, Anything Else failed to impress. It received a below-average 40 percent approval rating and also failed to break at the box office.

11. Entourage (2015)

This is the second entry on our list with the title “Entourage”. The idea for this feature film was birthed after it was announced that its parent-series was coming to an end. Eventually made in 2015, the story follows now elite actor Vincent Chase as he stumbles through making his directorial debut. The movie did preserve many elements from the HBO Entourage series. However, according to critics, it felt like an extended collection of cameo appearances from the series’ original cast rather than a stand-alone movie. While it did not make a loss at the box office, this Entourage could only manage an abysmal 33 percent critics approval rating.

12. Harvard Man (2002)

Alan Jensen (Grenier) is a star point guard for Harvard’s basketball team. Harvard Man tells the story of how Alan gets involved with the law and a crime boss who is his girlfriend’s father in his quest to raise $100,000 to replace his parent’s home that was destroyed by a tornado.

Critics were livid with their assessment of this movie, calling it a pretentious and incoherent mess, and slapping it with a pitiable 33 percent approval rating. Apparently, the audience felt the same as the movie could only recover around 1 percent ($56,000) of its production budget ($5.5 million) at the box office.

13. Adventures of Power (2008)

This is the comic story of a young man named Power (Ari Gold) who is largely seen as a misfit in his hometown. After been fired from his job at the only mining plant in his town, Power, who has been air drumming his whole life leaves home and heads to Newark, New Jersey to take part in an air-drumming competition.

In this feature film, Adrian plays the supporting role of another aspiring professional drummer, Dallas Houston. Adventures of Power joins a few others Adrian Grenier movies on this list to score a well below-average approval rating, this time 32 percent.

14. Drive Me Crazy (1999)

Commercially speaking, this teen rom-com is not the worst on this list. At least it pulled almost three times its budget at the box office. The plot follows the lives of two teenagers Nicole Maris () and Chase Hammond (Adrian Grenier) who live opposite each other. These two, who would naturally have absolutely nothing to do with each other find themselves in a situation where they have to scheme to date each other as part of a greater plan to attract their individual romantic interests. However, as is expected in movies of this genre, they both eventually find that they are better together than they initially ever thought possible.

Drive Me Crazy will not be remembered in years to come. In fact, it has already been forgotten to a large extent as reflected by a 28 percent approval rating, but at least no money was lost on it.

15. Arsenal (2017)

A direct-to-video action thriller film, Arsenal tells the story of two brothers, Mikey and JP, who grew up in the same crime-infested circumstances. As they grow up, however, the paths they take can’t be farther from each other. While JP (Adrian Grenier) builds a good life as the owner of a construction company, Mikey () remains embroiled in a life of petty crime.

However, circumstances force JP to use all the resources at his disposal to fight for Mikey after he is kidnapped and held for ransom by ruthless crime boss Eddie King (). Arsenal is undoubtedly the lowest-performing Adrian Grenier movie on this list. Its depressing approval rating of 3 percent is so bad it is difficult to forget.
